I don't think he is. The substitution was baffling, and I wouldn't try to justify it because I don't understand it.

However, the one thing that was totally predictable was the complete unwillingness of some of our fans to ever give the bloke the benefit of the doubt, even when we win.

 

Boufal was knackered, I think. No idea what happened with Bertrand, he just sat down.

 

Did you watch the same first half I did? He did some excellent hold up play and kept the ball in the opposition third so many times when he had no right to. he also created chances with a couple of good crosses. along with creating a couple more chances in the build up play after coming short. was the most influential players first half and him tiring is one of the main reason i thought control of the game slipped away from us as he didn't get back in position anymore.

 

That's not actually true. We did threaten on the break, at least a couple of times.

 

Hamstring. Just as he was playing so well too. Thought Pied was excellent once he settled in though

 

Yeah, I just saw him sit down too. Maybe he was just feeling the effects of the flu still.

He didn't look knackered to me, but he was over the other side to me 2nd half. If he is knackered after 60minutes then they need to do some serious work on his fitness!

Shaney almost put Guido through but I didn't understand sub unless he wanted the backs to get forward which they didn't. Maybe that's the team more than MP
We were really good at times though so MP is clearly not the MuPpet some would suggest

If Pied could actually cross from that side of the pitch we may have got a few more chances too. Unfortunately he's as one footed as tadic it seems so did the exact same thing Tadic always does. losing Bertrand hurt that formation a lot as we lost our threat out wide which is quite important with 5 at the back.

 

Thank god I decided to do minimalistic threads, if I tried to rival FLT threads (which I take my hat off to, as they are probably the best threads ever on the whole of not606), I would have needed to take the last few weeks off work

I will get something minimalistic up tomorrow as it is a quick turnaround.

At least there was no new manager bounce.

 

Our progression against Watford has gone Loss, Draw, Win. It’s a shame we can’t play them again this season as we need a decider.

I think it’s fair to say you failed to spot the change in tactics from Watford that the management did. Hard to argue when we won.
