IMHO yes, he wins. He is the only true grade 1 horse in the field. Jacob will need to be sensible though, wouldn't want to see him fighting for the lead early on with Definitly Red at a silly pace.

Just watched the replay of Sceau Royal's win at Donny - very impressed with him again, jumped fluently, quickened nicely and ave 5lbs and a beating to a pretty smart animal. Arkle winner IMHO.
I had a feeling you'd say that. I wasn't overly impressed but equally don't think today harms his chance. Did what he needed to do. Jumped very low through his fences today so doesn't leave any time on the course. He'll need to produce at least a stone better on the day to win. Could be a weak year bar the favourite and if that fails to fire this one has a chance.
