Off Topic Success

New signings may or may not improve the team,instant success does not happen often.I believe the club is on the right track. We seem to be signing lads with real potential but they will need time to develop. It may be 3 or 4 years before we see the results. In the meantime at full strength we have a decent squad. Goals will come as the team develops

Have 2 problems with this WC. Firstly yes it may take 3 or 4 years to start producing our own kids as we did in the past, but importing loads of kids can only improve our own kids as these imported kids are obviously not good enough to go into the first team now. Many Prem teams or top teams all around the world will blood a 16yo or an 18yo because they are good enough. We are importing players who are 18 up to 23 so obviously not good enough for senior football. Yes some may be slow developers and progress later, but the vast majority of these imports is to make cash. Also to help improve the UK kids who are slowly being brought in.

We need to get some Lennons, Milners, Smiths, Harts, Speeds, Delphs, Howsons, Woodgates, Battys ....... these were kids who camw through and went into the first team because they were good enough. The only kids who may make it as they are thought highly of are Jack Clark, the new kid from Orient, the young Bulgarian. Denton may go into the squad but we’re struggling yet

 

We can only wait and see there is no magic formula. they had better be quick I can't wait much longer.

 

At the current rate of progress even Ben aint going to live long enough to see it.

 

Im giving it till the end of January ducky poos.i know what you are saying but partly im with others.but how many of these younger kids playing for prem teams junior squads make it.madger gomes has done a runner where is he.he came from a good club and so did the left back from man u.but they are no better than what we have.indeed i think most prem teams young players are getting a big wage just to fill the quotas and hudders have said sod it not going down that route.
Our chairman is very new to football but is a good business man who will surely learn.
So im waiting to see what happens but like you say not for long .
