with the red pencil seen in voting booths attached to the top of the sword, i'd be inclined to agree,...
Pencils in voting booths can be any colour, they’re usually black. It’s good for the city that we’ve got a Banksy, this isn’t the place for discussing any political message it may or may not contain.
We're discussing the politics of art not the politics itself, there's a huge difference. It's sad that people are unable to distinguish between the two.
Am I missing summat or has the vote updated? Dover is tenth and we’re not even top 5. Outrageous. Good to see Liverpool in there, always wondered why it seems to be ignored as a steaming ****ing cesspit teaming with ****s. Just need to get Newcastle in there now. Where does that myth of ‘a great night out’ come from? It’s ****ing horrendous.
Have utter contempt for anything like this. If the premise was race instead of class, it'd rightly be stopped but the working classes (of all ethnicities) are fair game. Prejudice is prejudice and I'd advise against giving them the oxygen of publicity.
I fail to see the fuss over this person's graffiti, I have seen far better elsewhere both home and abroad, here's 3 from Tenerife last year.
Because a thought provoking image is far more interesting than some ****er who can barely write their own nickname in spray paint
Shouldn't really but that made me snigger. Is it because one is seen as art and the other as vandalism?
Yeah I’d seen it already. Who knows what this second artist will become? I imagine lots of people thought the first Banksy was an eyesore. Indeed one of our esteemed councillors - who people voted for - has today said he thinks this latest Banksy effort should be ‘cleaned off’.
From the National BBC site: "Conservative councillor John Abbott said Banky's work did not compare with "real art" in the city gallery. "I think that should be cleaned off. It should be photographed and the photograph kept because Banksy is not without talent," said Mr Abbott."
