The Spurs game is more important for me, we don't want to be dragged into a top 4 battle, and a loss at Spurs would do that. So I would make a lot of changes, as our squad players should still be good enough to win this.
A fairly satisfactory result I would say. Atleast it was comfortable, as it should be against a side at the bottom of the football league. Yeovil did well for large parts of the first half, but our quality and superior fitness showed as the game went on. Sanchez did alright, atleast he got an assist. Was nice to see Lingard come on and get a nice individual goal. Reminding the manager that he should not be the player dropped to make room for Sanchez.
Decent result for what was arguably, with the exception of Sanchez, entirely our second string. Can't see Lingard being dropped for Sanchez, if anything Rashford is the one who faces a struggle to get back into the starting line up. I'd expect Sanchez as a wide attacker with Lingard through the middle and Martial / Rashford on the other side. Good to see Gomes getting some time on the pitch, despite being only 17. Hopefully he and McTominay will establish themselves more in the future as Fellaini and Carrick are eased out.
Could have been an awful banana skin. Good performance against a lowly team but difficult pitch and conditons could have tripped many. Sanchez tried hard for his first match and got stuck in. The best way to do it. His marauding style is still there. Picking the ball from midfield and engaging a few midfielders and defenders before releasing it to Rashford/martial/Lukaku in good positions.
