Fair point and I probably shouldn't have said 'should'. I just think it's the backwards English mentality that people want to see players running at full sprint for 90* minutes for the sake of it and with no thought process behind it. *well 70 cos these players are invariably ****ed by then.
I don't buy that at all. Wenger let's him get away with it though tbf. Imagine him playing for Klopp or Poch (for example). He'd be dropped like a hot potato if he didn't do what every other player in the team does. It's common knowledge too, he's basically put himself up for sale for the last couple of windows and no-one has taken the bite. He's a quality player once a month, but week in week out he's just lazy - get's plenty of assists because he's always just hanging around the oppositions box. If Arsenal had a proper box to box midfielder it would be understandable (to a certain extent) but they don't. At times he lets that team down. Forget his numbers, it's clear he could do a lot more.

as for Woezil, let's face it, he's a classy player with unbelievable vision and passing skills (accuracy and speed) and great technical ability. He's not brilliant at shooting and on the ball he can twist and turn to make space but doesn't have the athletic ability to go past someone or defend properly. Oh and did i say he was lazy. If i had to take playmakers/winger over him i would easily have the below over him: Hazard, KDB, Eriksen, Silva, Salah, Sanchez
Lamela will be back to his best once he has regained full match fitness. The man was out for over a season. Give him time.
