The McCormack rumour won't go away.

If I am honest with you, unless we can get Dembele, which seems unlikely, why not get McContract back on a 18 month contract.

I know the Australian league is not exactly the Prem, but scoring 14 goals in 16 games would surely be better than the players we are being linked to from league 1.

Do we really care where the goals come from as long as we get them?

I am not saying forgive and forget, but if he is coming back to the Championship, why not nab him before our competition do.

Ell, I’m putting that post down to the obsession Leeds fans have for resigning players that have left. I think McContract’s next contract will be with ant & dec in the jungle

Because the unity that Rad claims we have would be gone in the next transfer window. Blokes a Cnut... end of.

Dembele not good enough, needs to be scoring 60 goals in 20 games for the negatives to accept he's a "decent signing"

as for badge, I would like to see the Yorkshire rose with the Smiley in the centre

But he wouldn’t have to be decent. Bang average would be better than what we have now.

McContract is too fat for Strictly so fcuk him and not too sure about Elphick even though hes been playing well when Terry is out. Yes he has experience of promotions, but hes 30, not worth even a 2 year deal. Overpaid at Brighton & Fulham

Seems Malik Wilks had choice of Carlisle Chesterfield or Grimsby

Kid from Ajax another one for the future even though we just signed a CB a couple of weeks ago.

There's one over-riding factor that tells me we shouldn't sign him.

    Not his wages.

    Not his poor form lately.

    Not his waistline.

    Not his age.

    Not his history.

    Not his attitude

Not his stature (for leading the line).

Nope. Apparently he's battling depression, which apparently is the reason for not being able to climb his fence amongst other things. As someone who's suffered from it in the past, I can tell you that there is no logic to depression. It often presents as laziness. By that, I mean that if I offered most people £1m to get off their arses and do a star jump, even lazy people will get up & do it for the money. People with depression might. But they might not. Actually, it's more likely they WILL not. It's a mental energy thing, and logic plays no part whatsoever.

    Think Stan Collymore.

Or closer to home, think Andy O'Brien or Clarke Carlisle.

Totally reliable & dedicated to the cause, weren't they?

That's why it must be absolutely no.

Yep on the money there WJ. Unlike some, I think McCormack was excellent for us and is/was a top player at this level.

But if he has depression, we should stay well clear.

In fact in my personal experience, harsh though this may sound, staying well clear of anyone with depression is generally good advice for anyone if you want to hold on to your sanity.

True in many cases, there's no doubt, but like many things, it comes as a bit of a spectrum.

The worst is of course the poor sods who used to call me when I was a Samaritans Listener, and some of them - not all - are on the brink of suicide. It's not a well known fact, but most of the calls the Samaritans receive are from depressives - and more often than not, it's just to speak to someone that doesn't judge, rather than a 'traditional suicide call', if there is such a thing.

In my case, I just appeared to be a lazy barsteward, but to most people, especially close family, they didn't notice the difference! Which actually made me realise that I've probably unknowingly drifted in & out of depression without even being aware of it - and continue to do so, I might add. Odd things confirm this - like I'll happily go and make my wife a 3 course dinner without blinking & at a moments notice (I'm her carer), but 2 minutes later, I can't be bothered popping through to get myself a sandwich, even though I'm starving. Illogically, I'll sit there & starve, and will only get the sandwich next time I mobilise for my wife. Very, very strange. You can see it unfold, but you cannot explain your behaviour or lack of logic applied.
