Not really much to add other than I'm fairly certain we have never fielded a Cuban German before. I have never heard of them as I don't get Bundesliga3 games on telly but I hope they do well.
Big risk. They don't sound all that cheap for a "cheap option". But, As I said earlier. Really like the look and sound of the Winger. I think he could make an impact. The striker seems full of confidence in the lower leagues. Hopefully he will be able to step up about 3 levels to continue his form. Just happy they have actually bought some players in. Even if they are crap, at least we have players. Anything will do at the moment. I'm just excited to see some new players. The performances have been so depressing, to look out for new, unknown players is a point of interest.
West Ham are expected to sign Portugal playmaker Joao Mario from Inter Milan. A preliminary agreement has been reached........... BBC Sport. Seems the Maddison rumour is just that ........rumour.
That's what I'm hoping for. The Mario rumour has been rapidly growing. If they get him, they wont need Maddison. Last I heard, that loan deal is very close. Fingers crossed.
I saw somewhere Farke said he won't put too much pressure on Srbeny. When he does play, if he can put shots on goal it will be an improvement. Onel looks to be a like for like replacement for Yanic but cheaper and without the experience.
Hmm. Pretty annoying. Bought Yanic for silly money when we didn't need another winger. Don't play him. Let him go to a side pushing for promotion on loan, so get nothing back off that deal. Sign another player that sounds a lot like him. For another fee. Sounds like Norwich business!
How on earth did you manage to cut your foot with a Stanley knife? Had you misplaced the nail clippers so decided to improvise?
I didn't want YW when we bought him because of the cost but I learned to like him because of the excitement he brought to the game. I really thought he would have a big season for us. Cardiff are just looking before they buy. ps. Onel better learn to defend or he won't be playing for DF.
Sorry FML, I was out all afternoon, so haven't trawled back through the thread. Hope your foot stops bleeding soon.and that's going to be quite uncomfortable for a while!!
Wildschut was brought in by AN for his style of play, which was midfielders following the striker into the box to pick up lay-offs and flick ons. DF wants a more sophisticated passing approach to work the ball into scoring positions and the new players have been brought in for that. Wildschut's skills are not well suited to that so it made sense his going to Cardiff. Hernandez is a pacey winger who is capable of crossing the ball, laying it off, or scoring himself, much like Josh except that he's right footed. Also like Josh, he can play as a counter-attacking striker looking to score on breakaways. I can't wait to see him in action.
Someone obviously dropped the knife to the ground. It must have dropped against another tool, (hammer)so was pointing up. I didn’t know any of that until the whole blade stuck into my foot. It is still bleeding, people are telling me to go to A sand E. I’ve been. Up since 3:30am. I don’t want to spend another evening waiting in A and E for a cut. If it’s still bad tomorrow, il call my doctor.
Hope your foot is better soon FML. Back to Madders and this from the EDP should calm some nerves: "National media reports on Thursday night claimed Hammers’ chief David Moyes had stepped up his interest in the Canaries’ prized asset with a firm bid. City have had no contact from the East Londoners, and the club’s top brass remain intent on keeping hold of the England U21 starlet ahead of next week’s transfer deadline."
As for the transfer window itself, the tally stands like this: IN: Edwards McLean > Hernandez Srbeny Leitner L. Power OUT : Pritchard Jerome Naismith L Wildschut L Martin L So we've sold Pritchard and Jerome and loaned out three others while bringing in four permanent signings (one loaned back) and two others in on loan (one with an option to buy in the summer?). Not a bad window I'd say, given the extra money we'll now have for the summer.
I don't disagree it's been a reasonable window, but I don't think there's any extra money for the summer. Any profits we've made on player sales are surely commited to sorting our "deficit". It might mean we have the cash flow to buy before we sell this summer, but I still expect our summer dealings to result in a net profit for the club.
Thank you mate. Bled through the night so got an appointment this morning. Been cleaned up, it's finally stopped bleeding and I've had a jab as well. Just seriously bruised and painful. But at least the nurse said I did a good job of keeping it clean. Got to go back Monday to make sure it's not infected. Thanks for the messages guys. If Maddison ends up being a deadline day type big deal, surely other clubs will get involved. Teams like Liverpool and Spurs who missed out last time. You have got to be holding out for over £20M. I'd go further towards 30! This market has gone mental, and we need to take advantage of that like everyone else selling does. Otherwise, we keep our immensely talented young future England star!
The Club has to have the attitude " we do not NEED to sell him just yet, so if you want him it will cost you a lot more than you hope to pay". The £12m (probably put into circulation in an attempt to unsettle JM) is a ludicrously low figure. Double that and we, hopefully would still reject it. Obviously there is a figure at which we will be unable to say no, but until that is reached NO, NO, NO.
That’s him gone then, I reckon it will be £12-15M with add ons and if he goes to a top six club possibly a loan back. If he ends up at a smaller club like Wet Sham we can forget the loan back
