Robinson seems to see himself as little more than a bystander in the whole stinking business.

He has been the mouthpiece of the club, something I imagine he enjoys given his loose tongue, for a while now.

Which is strange, because last week he claimed to be getting nightly phone calls from Richard “What a Man” ....

I suspect he is quite thick - he contradicts himself so much, he can’t remember dner half the stuff that comes out of his own mouth.

Peabrain Jeddez banging on that a Konsa sale is justified due to the dough Duchatelet is having to find.

Conveniently overlooking the fact that is the cock's fault for being in this mess!

Now can we please keep this thread on track.

    Simples.

The apologists don't want to ask why bad things happen to the Club, they only want to justify those things - or just pretend they are not happening.
They made endless excuses for Katrien Meire.
They have made excuses for every new head coach - even Karel Fraeye.
They made excuses for the relegation.
They pretend that fans are coming back to the Valley.

Duchatelet has been in sole charge of Charlton Athletic for more than four years now.

If he is losing over a million pounds a month, that is 100% down to his mismanagement.
If 6,000 fans don't generate enough ticket revenue to keep the Club running, that is 100% down to his mismanagement.
If this January transfer window sees two of our best permanent first team players sold and only loan players coming in - which cannot be defined as 'strengthening' even by the daftest apologist - then that is 100% down to Duchatelet's mismanagement.

If you believe the apologists, you would think that RD has been innocent of any mistakes at all, but somehow Charlton's accelerated decline has been entirely down to bad luck with injuries plus the 'Car Park 14'.
For some reason Duchatelet has been powerless to prevent a little bunch of wrinkly protesters from derailing the entire future of CAFC, armed with nothing more than their black & white scarves, lap blankets and thermos flasks.
Oh yes, and of course the rest of Charlton's fans, who dared to express dissatisfaction at spending 9 months of a season in the Championship bottom 3 with the first team getting whipped 4-0, 5-0, 6-0 every week for most of the winter, and a CEO who could lie for her country.
Ungrateful fans who dare to be less than completely satisfied that their Club (sorry, not their Club, Roland's Club) is now a lower league basket case with a partly closed stadium.

    Regarding Jeddez.

What he calls Charlton fans “sense of entitlement “ is what normal fans (of any club) would characterise as “a wish for a glimmer of ambition”. It seems beyond Jeddez to realise that without ambition you have a football club that just drifts - downwards. Just what we have seen at Charlton come to think of it.

I would have loved to have employed Jeddez in my business.

“Would you like an annual pay rise & bonus Jeddez?”

“No thanks boss, I don’t want to display a sense of entitlement”.

He isn't the only one who uses it.
'sense of entitlement' has become their mantra when describing any fan who is less than blissfully content with the current sorry state of affairs.

A phrase from The middle-aged ****ers' guide to Pseudo-psychology probably first uttered by one of their resident self-taught lecturers or celebrity speech writers, and seized on by the others as a really cool description.

Still, it's just as funny every time one of them uses it, so long may it continue to be posted.

Burnley the latest club said to be interested in signing Konsa.

Wakey Wakey to Richard Mitty-Murray - make sure you have a replacement lined up on Wednesday :emoticon-0136-giggl

We already have our three loan players (even though one at least of them needs some game time to get fit according to KR).
There won't be any more coming in.

Whatever we get for Konsa will all go straight into Roland's pocket. For some reason this is always a cause for celebration among the apologists, although I think they are just on the wind-up as, if memory serves, they always celebrate our player sales a bit too much.

Karl Robinson will have what he has got now minus Konsa (and hopefully nobody else) for our remaining 18 league games.
We can only hope that our beleaguered gaffer can pull off something truly remarkable with that squad.

I would say our chances of finishing in a play-off position are about 35% right now.
And our chances of gaining promotion through the play offs should we finish in the top 6 is about 15%.
So over all I think we have a promotion chance of about 5%.
Pretty slim, but not quite impossible.

The dream scenario for the Apologists next Wednesday is Konsa being sold ..then loaned back to Charlton for the rest of this season.

This outcome will prompt a group orgasm of euphoria on ITTV. Their hero gets to fatten his wallet again, and Jeddez & Co get to enjoy a Premier League star of the future for a final 8 home games.

Those tartan blankets will be rustling with pleasure.

Burnley have bid £12m for a Forest centre half, possibly meaning they don’t want Konsa.

24 hours left to sweat the assets ...

I don't think any of the Clubs in the Premiership think Konsa is worth more than 2m. It will be interesting to see if we get a bid in that region whether RD will sell.

If we don’t sell Konsa by tomorrow it won’t be through a lack of effort. Robinson might as well have put the player on E Bay.

Guess who will be saying it is a statement of intent if we do not sell him?
