If you listen to the Pixies then it’s a ****ing abomination that you’ve never heard of The Fall.

I am forced to endure **** like Little Mix and Taylor Swift, because I have daughters.
But nah, the only contemporary band I listen to really is The 1975.

 

Being honest, I’m not overly familiar with their work.

When I get home tonight I will check them out on YouTube.

They are a seminal band to be honest mate. Defined the post punk / indie scene. And mark E Smith was a one off.

 

What was their set up?

2 guitars, bass, drums and vocals?

Various line ups really. Basic back line bass and drums, sometimes with extra percussion. Then guitar, keys, vox and some backing vocals at times. Also smith would play various random synth and voice box instruments at times.
