I trust the response back from the floor was 'actions speak louder than words'? I like the guy, and feel damn sorry for him, even though, yes, he knew at least part of the score before he came. The question I wished I'd asked him, and would have asked if I'd been there, would be something like 'why the hell did you decide to come and work under the Allam ****s' (with the last word maybe replaced with something slightly milder out of respect for the younger members of the audience'. Does anyone know, was he asked some more challenging questions? If so, what was his response?
I could answer your post with a sarky comment along the lines of why ask on here when it was only £3 on the door and you could have asked him yourself, but I am feeling generous. The HCOSC twitter account had quite a few of the questions asked and the answers posted. Nigel was interviewed by us privately before the event and the full interview will be published in our next Tigermag. Nigel apparently gave some stock answers to the questions. But he did return to one theme and that is that the support needs to get behind the players. I have seen a video of him saying along the lines of , that he, the owners and the players are all temporary, but the support is there forever. He seemed confident, relaxed and quite cheerful. He did say that the plan is for players to come in during this window and the summer window. The reports that I have had about last night have all been positive. We raised some money for good causes and supporters got to ask the coaching team (Tony Pennock turned up as well) any questions they wanted.
Thanks. Re. 1st paragraph. Yes, I know. I thought about it but it wasn't really possible to go last night. And I honestly fear I would have been ejected, as I'd find it hard to hold back thoughts & comments ... which would be pointless and also totally unfair on Adkins and Crosby as they are not the problem (ok, we could argue they become part of the problem by association, but we need a 'coach' and I'm happy that it's Adkins rather than many other options that we might have had). Glad that people seem to have enjoyed it and got something positive from it. Heaven knows we need more of that. As someone said on Twitter in response to Adkins tweet about last night - "fair play to him for fronting up during challenging times, something our owners have proved they don't have the bollocks to do".
Wow massive positive about the summer... Oh no I was forgetting, players will have to come in the summer seeing as we are losing most of the current lot.
A blue suit is one of the few suits that brown shoes can be worn in my opinion. It's when you see brown shoes with a black suit that it looks all wrong to me.
My son wandered off to 6th Form today in a navy suit / brown shoe combo (I checked). He’ll be growing a hipster beard next.
How many questions did people manage to get in and did you have to give him a time limit for answers ? Adkins can waffle for 30 minutes and say absolutely nothing

. "There was the added and unexpected bonus of Tony Pennock joining the action, which as compare for the evening Darren Lethem of KCFM pointed out, gave us an unlikely back three (two ex-keepers and an ex-defender) playing up front for the evening!" hmmmmm...........and we've stopped scoring...........
