On the Neville thing. Being reported that the tweets were jokes with his wife and sister.

While joking about wife beating in general is now seen as distasteful. It's not like he was actually airing views held. He was clearly winding 2 women in his life up.

Esp in the premiership, where the money is, they are wrapped in cotton wool and think they can get away with everything.

Clubs and fa (joke racist twats! ) should be educating them.

But then again people with money or in politics with power know how to fiddle the system and do as they please so footballers who mostly are niave don't stand a chance.

Holgate, Firmino interviewed by FA as part of alleged racism investigation
The Football Association's disciplinary unit has interviewed Everton defender Mason Holgate and Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino as part of the investigation into alleged racism during this month's FA Cup third round tie at Anfield, sources have told ESPN FC.

The FA is investigating claims by Holgate that he was racially abused by Firmino after shoving the Brazilian into advertising hoardings at the side of the pitch during the first half of Everton's 2-1 defeat.

While no timescale has been put on the investigation, FA sources have confirmed the probe is making progress and that witnesses, including match officials and players from both teams, have been, or are in the process of being, interviewed by the governing body's disciplinary unit.

Referee Bobby Madley triggered the investigation by submitting a match report to the FA, detailing the incident and Holgate's allegation, prompting the FA to confirm that it would investigate the incident.
An FA statement, issued earlier this month, said: "The FA can confirm that referee Bobby Madley was made aware of an allegation during the Liverpool versus Everton game at Anfield last night and has subsequently reported this to The FA, which will now begin making enquiries into the matter."

Although Friday will mark three weeks since the Liverpool-Everton tie, the FA are determined not to set a timeframe on potential charges being issued, with sources insisting that a thorough investigation is the priority, rather than a need to move swiftly, due to the serious nature of the allegations.

When Luis Suarez was charged with racially abusing Manchester United defender Patrice Evra in 2011, it took the FA more than four weeks of investigations before charging the Liverpool forward.

Suarez then had to wait another month before being issued with an eight-match suspension and £40,000 fine after being found guilty of the charge.

The pricks at the FA have resolved all cases they've been faced with post the Holgate/Firmino incident, they've even cleared Phil Neville of sexist tweets within two days.
Something is not right, but Firmino doesn't look like someone who's worried going by his games since the incident.:emoticon-0112-wonde

He was crap against Swansea so maybe he had his interview the day before. I could imagine how it started

FA employee: "Please come in Mr Guilty, sorry I mean Mr Firmino. I don't suppose you know if that lovely Mr Holgate has arrived yet we are all so looking forward to meeting him"

Maybe you're right about that, but we were collectively crap against Swansea, if you're correct I'd have thought he'd have been dropped if there was any sign of his guilt at the possible interview the day before.

Got to be said though, if it was a straight forward case of the referee not hearing the alleged racism it would have been done and dusted by now.

Done and dusted, when there is the opportunity for the FA, the most misogynist, homophobic, anachronistic of organisations, to score some PC points with the snowflake dominated media/internet of today. You must be joking, and I say that whilst smoking a pipe and wearing my best deerstalker.

So, P Neville says(joking or not)that he "was chilled after battering" his wife, the FA reckon they've studied the tweets he made and in their opinion he never crossed the threshold to justify facing a charge.<laugh>

I shall be watching the Arsenal/Chelsea game whilst drinking bottles of Asahi and Birra Morretti 660ml bottles are 2 for £4 at the local Co-op. Working from home all day tomorrow, what could possibly go wrong?
