I heard a rumour on Saturday that we're trying to sign a player I mentioned a while back on here. Danny Hylton from Luton. Unfortunately he picked up a hamstring injury that very same afternoon.
There was a rumour a couple of weeks ago we were looking at Jack Marriott with Washington going back to Posh but he's valued around £7 million so that rules us out...
Been talking to a pal who is in the youth academy set-up, they are shocked he's leaving. He's been doing his UEFA pro licence for the last ten months, and Aitor Karanka was also on the course and was very impressed with him - which is why he's been poached and is heading to Forest....if we can't even hold onto our coaches, what hope do we have!!
Sean Goss played a blinder apparently for Rangers tonight v a decent Aberdeen side, totally bossed the midfield. So much so, that some Rangers fans are demanding tht they sign him immediately. Maybe this is what he needs so he comes back a more complete player for next season?
Midfielder Borysiuk, 26, was signed from Legia in the summer of 2016 but has not impressed Ian Holloway, Is this because he cannot play in goal or is it because he cannot hoof it at every occasion?
Actually it's probably the same reason he didn't impress you me or any other poster on here. Playing in Scotland is probably a damn sight easier than the Championship.
Scrub the last post. I see evenYeni managed to score(albeit from the spot) in his debut for Guingamp. It's just the effect of being signed to play for QPR that makes them ****e.
I really am not expecting any serious signings in this transfer window. If I were to invest in any "new blood", I would possibly focus on improving customised coaching skills, e.g defence, strikers, etc. But the biggest pay back could be from good sports psychologists. I wonder what Washington really could achieve if he had full confidence? Not to mention the young strikers that we now are bleeding. Sports psychology has made a massive impace in individual sports (tenis, winter sports, etc) and I am sure that there is massive potential at Loftus He is not a brilliant player, but rather solid as a defensive midfielder. He received relatively good ratings when he did actually play. I remember that his tackles were quite tough and he always looked likely to get yellow cards. I don't think he was given a real chance by Ollie and probably his language limitations were a major issue. A pity.
That was my initial feeling. However, looking at the level he now plays at I must sadly come to the conclusion that his body is no longer up to playing at a higher level. A wonderful talent who could have gone on to play at the highest level imo had it not been for injuries. Great guy too!
I actually liked the look of Borysiuk on the rare glimpses that we had of him. Not given a chance, really.
