You dissing the penetrator? The man with half of Europe clamouring for his signature, ... who we valiantly fought off in hand to hand combat... to get him at Leeds? Really how could you. Frankly, I didn’t see enough to form an opinion. He’ ended up being the new Casper sloth... the forgotten man that no one’s really seen play but lots of fans demand his inclusion because they aren’t happy with the guys the manager thinks are better (and assume the manager must have a vendetta against him)
He was injured in preseason and have had almost no game time. Do not think we have seen enough off him to come with a verdict yet.
You're spot on about the pen. My bad! I've never noted his distribution before, tbh, but was looking for it this time. Guess it could be down to lack of opportunity - either his lack of vision, the team not making space for him to target, or the opposition doing a good job of making it impossible, or any combination of these. Will scrutinise next match I'm at.
He might well do LL... but it doesn’t necessarily mean he was ever right for the championship, or that TC had a vendetta against him.
when your keeper played in Germany he had an average of letting in 4 goals per game, so guessing when you played us he was no worse than average
Looks like Hernandez will be offered a contract extension. His currently deal ends in the Summer. Another year?
WJ good reporting on U23s ... I watched the game and BPF was very ordinary with his distribution ... I clearly remember shaking my head when Hudds were pressing for an equaliser at the death ... BPF got the ball and the team pushed up towards halfway to force Hudds back, but BPF simply screwed the ball into the West Stand putting Hudds back on attack Grot looked like the lad I saw at NEC ... he ran well with the ball and bulldozed their defence ... his goal was well taken, and his touch good ... a loan spell will help him for sure, and we'll get a proper talent back next season Klich struggled after his injury, and he clearly needs a run of matches ... after his error at Cardiff he went very quiet ... this loan is good, he will get game time and hopefully return for next season playing young uns "out of position" in the U23s is nothing new ... the Ajax Academy have been doing it forever as a way to teach players to understand what their opponents will be thinking and what their team mates are expecting from them ... Clarke going into midfield helps him to see what the forwards are doing, where they should be going to receive a pass and how to bring the midfield into the game ... it is an excellent way to appreciate the nuances of the game and improve McContract is one of the most pathetic wums by the Sun ever ... it's going to be interesting to see who Leeds sign to fill the striker role, they will definitely be after a couple of targets but availability is always the key ... also feel we need a right back as Berardi isn't good enough, maybe bring Coyle back from loan Leeds don't like the colour red!! Understand?
Sarkic is a talent, could potentially get into senior squad this season ... Shackleton, as he has been through the U18s is a busy bee, little dynamo and be interesting to see how he's developed by this time next year ... there's a stack of talent in the U23s, patience needed but looking bright ... also, Hudds were a big team, and they fought hard, the dog botherers are goung to pay a hefty price for shutting down their Academy ... the U23s seem to play better at Elland Road than at grounds where they change in the car park Leeds don't like the colour red!! Understand?
