So back to the cup , following the demolition of the neighbours in the last round . with a visit from the Pardew led WBA who appear to be slightly improving. Apparently this is the 10th time we have played Albion in the FA Cup but have no idea of how we have fared in those matches. Last month they came to Anfield and held out for a score draw. Since both teams will feel the upcoming Premier League games are far more important than this game I expect that there will be numerous changes to both teams. I will take a stab at Ings or Solanke to start as will Lala & at least 1 of Klavan / Lovren . Moreno & Henderson will also probably start if rated as fit. its a mess TBH. look, the monday night crew ripped it to shred to have something to talk baout after a dire game but bilic and carragher were CBs in another life. they called it, too many zonal, a mix of systems and no real joined up htinking. VVD ****ed it but 8 or 9 times out of 10 that header falls away form a player and theres some time to either clear or get out to compete. It falls right at feet. VVD is in a location to attack the ball. Zonal position. Two LFC players encroach on his area and he has to jump through them. thats disastrous. I think we need a whole systems rethink. I was not impressed by the blockers and not impressed by his clearance either.
