bought for circa £9m contract june 2021 not doing so well for St ETIENNE as he did for Dijon ..1 goal in 17 [ Dijon 1 goal every 4 games ]
Good move when you think about it. Similar record to Kodjia previously just having a bad year this year. A change of scenery could work. We’ve Diedhiou to return to full fitness anytime soon. Djuric shortly returning so a loan deal with the option to buy could be a good thing. If it works we’ve done good if not we’re not committed. Glass half full day for me today. Another video for you

Try before you buy is excellent business. He's struggled at Saint-Etienne it seems, but did well in Ligue Un previously for Dijon, so hopefully just a case of not being used correctly. On the little information I have to work on, I'm sceptical he'll work out, but Saint-Etienne (a solid, top flight side) must've seen something in him to sign him themselves. One slightly concerning aspect is in the link below - it suggests he's weak in the air, which is the option we've been missing for the past couple of months! If he relies on movement and trickery, he'll struggle to outshine Reid, but it's nice to see another player in. Fingers crossed he's another Kodjia. https://www.whoscored.com/Players/232587/Show/Lois-Diony
Still nothing on official site, seems a bit odd player announcing it before the club. No idea what he's like, not keen on loans but if it's with a view to a permanent signing he'll be keen to make a good impression.
What does that mean JGF ? , we are committed to sign if we get promoted, or he won't sign if we don't , I'm confused about that. Personally ide have thought if we get promoted, big if mind, a whole new 'reservoir ' of players become available to us. Would we still be interested in signing him, however if we don't then ide have thought we'd be more likely to want to buy him provided he performs well during the rest of the season. Or is that Gas logic ?
I heard that the stuff he has posted on Instagram yesterday has since been taken down ? I don't use it so I can't confirm whether that's true or not

This sort of thing has happened before, but 99% of the time they end up being formally announced days later. I would be very surprised if this didn't go through now. That said, do people remember the Egyptian striker Emad Metoeb? I think he was highly rated and everything was agreed, but he played for his previous club (I want to say Al Ahly...) which was in breach of the terms and we pulled the plug - I think we ended up getting Nicky Maynard instead.
