Okay, where do you get your figures from to doubt mine are correct? He'll prove he's worth the wages if he does the business for Utd, but if he doesn't he'll still be lighting his cigars with £50 notes and not batting an eyelid. It's the way things are in the game, well paid hero or overpaid flop, thing is he gets his money either way.
"Should be" good enough to win OR are good enough to win are two completely different things. Like a lot of liverpool fans on here I do not think our current squad is good enough to expect anything apart from an unpredictable game esp against a top 6 side, whereas, you are a manu fan who expects to win against the other top 6 teams. #doyouwatchyourteam?
Nope not me Same feelings I had about this as I think it was Sunderland literally 48 hours later - cause I perpetually think we will lose you can never use the word ‘all’ Also wishi and Jaffa are right there with me in the pessimistic society And recently MITO but I suspect he winding us up
That is so true. We need a team to attack us. City did . But then how many teams and managers are like City and Pep? A team relinquishes possession to us away we are in big trouble because we have absolutely no clue what to do with the ball. Without possession, we play on instinct, using the speed of Salah and Mane to get beyond the defences. But with possession of the ball and the need to create we are slow pedestrian and totally predictable. We need a Plan B. And the players to execute it.
by meltdown I mean all it takes is West Brom to pull the same **** off in fa cup and for Huddersfield to do what they have done al- be-it inconsistently and we are toast.
Bad day in the office lads. As poor as we were, we still created enough chances to win. We’ve been on a good run and it was bound to happen. These were the games that we somehow managed to win at the back end of last season - scrappy and took our chances. Sturridge may not the same player but he’s still quality in and around the box, and one of the few players who is very good in tight areas. He’s a far better option to come off the bench than Ings or Solanke. We really can’t afford to lose Coutinho and Sturridge because it harms our first choice and our squad depth.
I'm looking at it slightly differently to most. When these games have come along in the past we get frustrated, slow the pace, run out of ideas and stop playing and it becomes an easy game for the opposition. Last night was more down to a lack of composure at vital moments and some poor finishing. We Managed the game well didn't concede a 2nd and 3rd like we used to do, the defence looked solid enough. We kept playing to the end and almost got our reward. I'm not happy about the result but I watched a different Liverpool to the one that gets done in these type of games and if we played that game again 100 times we'd win it 90% of the time. I agree that a creative player may have made the difference but I'm not sure as he wouldnt have had a lot to aim at, Swansea were very good. I'm less pissed off than usual, we look a good team and VVD has already made a huge difference.
I agree, it happens to everyone at this time of the season, teams in trouble dig in and hope to get a result.
What was with the commentary regarding Lallana it was as if we were bringing David Silva on? Some pundits and commentators have no clue they were talking as if he was this great creator, he runs between the lines and gets the odd goal and very few assists, bang average player get a grip.
