The only people who seem surprised by that defeat (or victory depending on your side) are the commentators...and that's because they're muppets who haven't got a clue.

I suppose the fair thing is to say fair play to Swansea, but it's not exactly rocket science to just camp 10 players behind the ball and defend for 90minutes against us is it? Can't really call it a game plan any more. Sunday league managers could come up with that idea

But football will never be fair, given the financial differences of both sides,

Bad night no composure or quality from us. Swansea set up well and we're determined can't argue with the result. Gutted we didn't grab a point at the end.

We were 19 unbeaten until tonight. Have to put another run like that together now.

    Meh... that's just not true.

    West Brom 0-0
    Everton 1-1

We miss those chance when placing it is better.

This is what a Coutinho-less Liverpool looks like. Pathetic no penetration no creativity absolutely nothing. The players were lethargic and were all waiting for the goal to arrive. Swansea won every fifty fifty ball. So well deserved victory. We deserved absolutely nothing. What it did show was that the City match was a one off. We can't win against passionate determined disciplined defending.

This is the true new era without Coutinho. We have missed him today.

Nothing else we can say about the midfield - it says it all that Matip was the one who was trying to create from deep.

i did say, salah and firmino needs lots of chances to score. :p.

Salah looked off today, apart from mawson being "clever" and fouling him all the time with his arm holding, salah didn't look like he wanted to take people on. Guessing he was still ill.

Also that pitch looked really heavy and hard to dribble on.

Well done Swansea. What gobshittingly awful - don't let the last ten minute siege change anything - we were ****ing awful. Why would you bring Lala on and leave Mane there? And Can... Jesus, I thought he was cack last week. We still have absolutely no clue how to break down an organised side, none whatsoever: or rather we did, but he's ****ed off to Barca.

I was told we would not miss 12 goals and 9 assists.

    hmmmm.

apparently we play better without coutinho...

It’s all about how we respond at the weekend now. In terms of blocks it not a disaster cause we beat city so let’s just keep feet on the ground everything still up for grabs. Even if we had won there is still a long way to go. It just got a little tighter 4th is still the goal.

Finance doesn’t stop you passing a football? Bristol v Manchester... have them toughest game of season by actually attacking them.

To be fair, at least this may signal to Klopp that we are in desperate need of creativity.

The midfield will continue to fail us away from home, definitely against the lower league sides.

I thought Fabianski had a blinder tonight, he put in a faultless performance IMO. Not just for the saves, but for all the balls he came for, taking so much pressure off his team.

    It's as usual inbetween.

Is there more of a chance Coutinho could pull out a worldie? Yes.

Have we seen plenty of this exact performance with Coutinho on the pitch over last 2 years.... yup.

We just have to suffer this midfield until the summer. We aren't getting anyone in January.

The next week is going to be boring with everyone telling us how we’ll miss coutinho now (media and own fans).

Hes gone? Who cares? We lost and drew plenty with him so who knows.

The pitch was horrible so doubt Cout would have been able to get on it and run with the ball anyway
