I see the media have failed to pick up on one of those mysterious 'phantom prices' whereby the market value of a player increases despite every measurable variable indicating it should decrease.

Case in point? Sanchez and Mickey Tar van switch clubs in a direct swap. Unless I'm missing something, doesn't this mean that the Armenian's value has risen from £27m to £35m, despite an injury-riddled, unspectacular 18 months at old trafford during which he has been openly criticised by his manager for poor performance levels? Give me a break. Must be a fat agent's fee hidden here somewhere.

All of Liverpool’s hard work beating city last week has been completely undone by losing to the bottom of the table team.
What a shame we couldn’t have got 3 points yesterday.
