    Is anyone actually surprised that Barton's going?

    He spends months slagging off his boss and lo and behold his boss gets rid of him, a blind man in the dark wearing a bag over his head could have seen this coming.

    Its been coming for awhile. I think people have just found this as another way to jump onto the Anti-Ashley bandwagon. Joey has been a good player. Granted. But he's caused alot of disruption this summer. So maybe we are better off without him. Gosling can cover for him, and hopefully will do a good job.

    Joey has shown a lack of respect for the club by spouting ****e on the internet and getting us all over the tabloids yet again.

    We have lost Carroll, Enrique and Nolan. And we've shown we can cope without them. So, i think we will be fine with Joesph.

    One man doesnt make a team.

    I also think some of this down to Mehdi Abeid, without a doubt he was signed as one for the future but his performances in pre-season and for the reserves have mean't the coaching staff have had a re-think and now consider him ready for some 1st team games.

    No, but four men - good players at that - makes just over one third of a team. I don't think a win and a draw against two lacklustre sides shows we can cope without them. This is precisely the way to end back in the championship, and anything else is, I suspect, the triumph of hope over expectation.

    I wouldn't blame Joey if he does go. I wouldn't stay where I wasn't wanted either, especially if I had the chance to go to a more ambitious club. However, I expect Pardew is gnashing his teeth at the prosepect of Joey leaving, even if it's purely from a football perspective.

    Thing is Tash you posted the same message when Caroll and Enrique went; "He's going nowhere" et cetera.

    Just a suggestion but seeing as you made you views plain (he won't be going to QPR) why not just sit back and see what happens rather than insisting other people are being gloom-merchants? These repeated posts denying players are leaving just makes you look foolish.
