Who’d like to be a fly on the wall in the hospitality suites and directors’ box when we ‘welcome’ Everton to the Vic in a few weeks’ time?!
True. Does anyone think that Evertongate really made get sacked? Or was it an excuse to sack him as he was having bad results and had fallen out with the board.
Our Greek number 2 doesn't think our lack in form was down to Silva being linked with Everton. Not sure that helps Silva much then - got even less of an excuse to explain how we went from looking so positive on and off the pitch to the mess we were at times during the last month or so,. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...lump-in-form-claims-orestis-karnezis/?ref=rss You won't be surprised to hear Martin Samuel isn't too supportive of the decision in his article... Mind you doesn't seem to have got over our usage of loan players 5 years ago!
If it were me I wouldn't invite anyone from the Everton hierarchy this time. Advise them that they can buy tickets for the away end. On the other hand, thanks to us they are left with stodgy Sam so perhaps the 2 hierarchies can commiserate with each other.
http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...ill-give-his-best-under-new-boss-javi-gracia/ Richarlson was 'not happy' with the decision to sack MS - but will soldier on (presumably until the end of the season). Big-hearted of him...
Unfortunately it did just have a feeling around the place that he had to go. He didn't get his move to Everton so it felt like he wasn't putting so much effort in - and neither were many of the players. Would be interesting to see, if the rumour was true, which players wanted to move to Everton with him Of course we have to be realistic and know we are a stepping stone for both managers and players, but to want to move after 9 games then get in a strop because you didn't get your move, is just unprofessional really. It does sound like the his relationship with the board broke down and no January signings seems to confirm they weren't backing him The owners/board are very private with everything so sure him coming out with comments in the press didn't help either Silva will get another job soon enough... although maybe not at as big a club as he thinks he should be at! Hopefully are new guy can refocus the players, we get some players back from injury soon, and can get some form back!
I don't suppose we'll ever find out - but I did read a quote last week from a player (whose name escapes me) that the rumour was nonsense.
We might possibly find out if Silva gets a job big enough to afford some of our players. I personally feel he would have mentioned to 1 or 2 that he would want to sign them if he got the move. Richarlison's reaction on Twitter suggests he may have been one - although think he will go to much bigger than Everton in the summer now anyway
There appear to be rather too many swollen ego's at our club. Richarlison had never played outside of Brazil before coming here - has had a few good games for us and then gone downhill fast. He is living in a dream world if he thinks that any big club will come calling until he has proved himself more substantially.
I see the Marco Silva cheerleaders in the press are already talking Rafa Benitez and Sam Allardyce out of jobs, so their boy can be in work at a “big” club.
Then lets get a 'Battle Bus' outside Vic Road claiming the Pozzos will put many millions into the NHS.
No need, Boris is advocating 100 million a week for the NHS after we stop giving vast sums away to the EU to squander.
If true those apologists for Silva's behaviour will find it even more difficult. Report claims Silva discussed taking Benfica player with him to Everton
Maybe Silva will get his move to Everton in the summer? - their fans are already fed up with Big Sam and his football!
We can but hope that he does. Then, next October, one of the big Euro clubs comes tapping on his ego...
Well if you believe the Everton fans they are one of Europe's top teams hence not being that keen on either Silva or Big Sam in the first place! They certainly wanted a big name manager with a big reputation rather than just a big man as the gaffer.
Well if that Man Of The People ,Well Rounded Johnson would seem to back the NHS as opposed to Privatisation For The Privileged we must put our trust in him. Was concerned before but now I really worry about you
