I watched him play Dimitrov earlier in the month. Was holding his own until he turned his ankle at 4-4 in the final set. Looks like he will be getting a chance for revenge.

I've not been keeping up with this one. Who's left in the tournament? Could the South African via the Bahamas go all the way to becoming the Brit from Beverley?

He's avoided the Big Three in quarter finals, so could easily reach semi's.

Would the big three be: the Serb, the Swiss and the Spanish chap's. If Edmund makes it that would be a four timer...A South African, A Serb. A Swiss and A Spanish.

Only jesting..I hope he makes it all the way.

Well the Serb has been knocked by a Korean, who appears to be playing against a character from Game of Thrones in the last 8.

Beating the world No.3 to get to your first Grand Slam semi is really quite an achievement. Well done Kyle.

Edmund was born in South Africa but moved to Britain when he was three and grew up in the village of Tickton[10] near Beverley, East Yorkshire.
Initially cricket and swimming were his main childhood pursuits, but he switched to tennis at 10 after lessons at the David Lloyd Racquet and Fitness Club in Hull with coach Richard Plews. He was educated at Pocklington School and Beverley Grammar School and by the age of 13 moved to Cannons in Hull to train with John Black. At 14, he moved with John Black to train at Win Tennis, based at the National Sports Centre in Bisham Abbey. When he was nearly 17, he based himself at the Lawn Tennis Association’s National Training Centre in Roehampton to be coached by Colin Beecher, returning to see his family at weekends.[11]
His father Steven was born in Wales and moved to Zimbabwe as a child.[12] His mother Denise is from South Africa. Steven is a director of a renewable energy company. His parents invested tens of thousands into their son’s tennis until the LTA provided funding through Aegon that took care of travel and coaching. [13][14] At home, Edmund trains at the Beverley and East Riding Lawn Tennis Club.[15]
Kyle Edmund is sometimes referred to as "Kedders".[16] Edmund is also a football fan and supports Liverpool.

Understandable. After all , I'm sure he's probably flown over it at some stage.
