    Sorry ignore me <laugh>

Yeah that will be decisive I think. Would like at least a 2 game gap from 18th by the end of that month ideally.

Why would we want him, rather?! Last team he was down the wrong end with were relegated, so he has no form with keeping a team up. And he has shown we dodged a bullet by completely taking his eye off the ball at Watford, just because a second rate team with an illustrious history showed an interest with him. Look how badly we are doing, after enduring a record winless run, and Watford are only a handful of points above us. He is after a stepping stone, and serves us well neither in the short-, medium-, or long-term imo.

36 to 38 points is my target at that point - so 14 to 16 points from those next eight games.

Less than 35 points going into those last six games, and I wouldn't fancy us to stay up.

I think 38 will be enough this year.

Great game. MP2 did a bang up job today and the players looked like they are up for a fight. JWP really coming into his own and that just shows what love for the club can do. Too many changes too soon robbed the club of true heart, he's got it. Was amazed to see Gabbiadini start, shame he wasn't able to have more influence on the game, he's been on the outer too long I think and it will take time to get him back playing well.

Least said about the ref the better but at the end of the day it didn't cost us.

If we can keep this level of commitment up we are going to be ok. Well done the fans, that's two games in a row they have been brilliant,

I've gone with 39 (particularly given that we've got a better GD compared to those around us), hence leaving us needing one or three points at home to Bmouth, from amongst those last six games.

I agree, it's going to be a high points top 4 and a low points bottom 3 this year. Too many teams with mid-table form at the moment.

You tend to get odd results towards the end of the season.

Everton away will be more than winnable imo.

Demebele had a final warning and a finger wagging and still he didn't get booked for his next foul.

And a performance I wasn't expecting too. Shows we CAN do it.
And almost the dream debut for MO. If only he had just stuck his left leg out a tiny bit it would have been in
We thought Ryan and JWP were competing for MOTM but a lot of decent performances and good to see that Mario, Oriel, Pierre and JWP can play that well together
I feel so much calmer with Alex between the sticks, Sorry Frazer

We need a goalscorer and SOON. Attacking midfielder with pace and big strong Central defender who can mark from dead balls would complete the picture.

Ok, so that was a good game to watch and a fair result, and on the optimistic end of what I was predicting. Nice atmosphere and we sang, which is a lot easier when there is something worth singing about. Much more positive and attacking. I was remembering those games where we stroked the ball around the back line, ad nauseum, and how different from today. Bertrand was now attacking the defenders, Tadic was getting past players and All of a sudden, our ability to hold on to the ball was back.
I have written before about how our team used to be really good at keeping possession in our own half when we won the ball back, and today there was much more calm about us. The last home game we seemed to be forever passing the ball directly to our opponents but whilst some were over-hit or the intended recipient didn't move as anticipated, there was very little woeful passing to moan about.
The two women who sit behind me, and who never stop talking, (even during the minutes applause) seem to have sussed that I am getting a bit pissed off with them, as I roll my eyes to others in my family. I say this because I think that they were discussing my reaction to what they were saying. I also looked around at the excitable chap 5 rows behind me who, when Bertrand (I think) was dispossessed after passing at least two defenders, stood up and shouted "Booooooooooo!" Apparently, nobody is allowed to have fun any more, according to their assessment. Of course, I am also fully up to speed with their family's medical history, but at least Nathan didn't feature today, so I didn't have to listen to them repeating how rubbish he is for the entire time he is on the pitch. Some think that it's really quiet in the Chapel? I wish!
