There was once in the first half when he was in free space and he ballsed up a straightforward 5 yard pass and gave it to a Southampton player. I screamed at him so much that I had dribble running down my new 3 piece suit .
Nice comment on the Southampton match thread that you may appreciate Was pleased to see Sissokho play today, because he’s ****e.
You are not allowed in our group think, you are a foreign fan of some northern concern. You must be polite to Sissoko until you buy him, then you can have your own group think.
Players worth millions (?) flying bloody Ryanair....whatever next? Trump crossing the street using the jumbo jet?
He did pretty damn well as a (default) second striker for the past couple of seasons but this season he's been less effective due to a combination of some defenders getting wise to him, his form being abysmal, and the occasional moment of him mistakenly believing his name to be Bertie Big Bollocks and deciding to showboat like we're 5-0 up in the 90th minute when it's 0-0 in the tenth.
I think this is a mis-reading of the club dynamics. I'd be amazed if Levy agreed to spend any large sum on a transfer without sign off by Pochettino. If the player turns out to be hopeless then it is hard for the manager to come clean on it, human nature being what it is. I don't think Sissoko is anywhere near as bad as is portrayed on here mind.
He's played there before and often done really well so it's a strong possibility, especially as Dembele has either been injured or dogshit this season - which has been gutting as Dembele has been immense for the past couple seasons but seems as though injuries are just massively ****ing him up. Though when Dele's on form in that second striker role, he's brilliant to watch, so clever with his off the ball movement and works really well with Kane, so it's a tough choice. I've been harping on about us needing a new CM but if Poch thought it was better to drop Dele deeper and then bring in another AM then I'd be all for it, we've been linked with Moura of PSG and Malcom of Bordeaux in recent days so if either of those joined it could actually happen. Dier/ Wanyama, Dele Malcom/ Moura, Eriksen, Son Would be a really good midfield.
I haven't really disagreed with that position PS Pochettino would know that Levy would not want to make a loss but I get the impression they have built a close relationship and can talk straight to one another
I thought Sissoko had an awful first half but a much better second half. The conditions did not help anyone but acted as an equalizer. The rain made first touches difficult which cost us. Sonny in particular tends to struggle in such conditions as he generally has such a glorious first touch. Dier and Dembele seemed more intent on aggression than playing football, which is an issue that Poch must address. I thought Kevin Friend handled the game well, in those conditions you are going to get some iffy tackles/timing and he kept his cards in his pocket for much of the game. Had Dean been the referee, it could have been 8 against 8. Let's hope for similar conditions at Klanfield tonight.
