Leeds United have tabled a £4million bid for West Brom centre-forward Tyler Roberts, according to a report. The Daily Mail claims that the Baggies have rejected Leeds’ offer though as they look to keep Roberts, 19, for next season. It is understood that Rangers and Marseille are also keen on the Wales Under-21 international as he is out of contract at the end of the season and would be available for a cut-price fee of £300,000 in compensation.
If you look at the hard men we had in our team in the 12 months before our promotion to the top flight. We had Bairdy, Hilare, Noel Blake, Vinney, Kamara. These players would not have given their opposition a moment peace.
Afternoon all. Fantastic match yesterday and quite rightly the team were applauded off the pitch after such a valiant effort. Some of you may or may not know but I watch the games from the padded seats and we're a normally pretty sedate bunch in there. Not yesterday, virtually the whole of the second half we were on our feet screaming and chanting and even though it all went wrong at the end if you don't enjoy a game of football like that you may as well take up knitting instead. Really don't understand the moaners as we gave our all and if you saw how devastated the players were at the final whistle then you would understand how much effort, commitment and desire they had put into trying to win a football match. Fans talk about pride in wearing the shirt, well it was there in abundance yesterday and I for one appreciate how difficult it must have been at half time 0-2 down and a man down to somehow believe it was possible to turn it around. To be honest as long as I see what I saw yesterday from my team them I'm more than happy. Of course there were mistakes and some players are not good enough but when they give their all and get the stadium rocking like they did in the 2nd half then I'd prefer to leave the criticism to those watching on a dodgy stream rather than feeling your heart beating against your chest along with 32,000 other Leeds fans enjoying the emotion of being a football fan.
Looks like Norwich are going to sign Ashley Fletcher from Boro. Not sure if we are still after him or not, but he's already turned us down twice.
@lufc Just in case you’re looking in to any cases of vandalism at the stadium from yesterday. This cock shouldn’t be too difficult to identify and I’m sure @MillwallFc will be accommodating with their assistance. #LUFC please log in to view this image
I was there too and just because i was there do not feel superior to those not able or not having the money to attend. We as a team could have won that game their goalie had lost it and we needed to keep pressing.you defend from the front not the back. Poor subs cost us because we had them and the fans far and wide stream or radio deserved more. You sound all superior where i respect those who can not go.
That may or may not be true but the link goes through to Leon Wobschall’s ratings who was also at the match. Phil Hay’s ratings are here and he gave Pennington an 8. https://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co...ings-v-millwall-1-8970427/8970428/img18970484
And just to add in Thailand at the moment so ‘watched’ the match on twitter via their tweets and the other Leeds fans I follow. Desperately refreshing my feed and was ****ing gutted by the result but less gutted at the end of the game than I was at 2-0 down with ten men at half time. Then I was expecting a hiding and thought TC might be done and season over. But the fact we came back and responded to half time talk makes me think they are still playing for him. Ultimately gutted about result but still keeping the faith in the team, TC and Orta and Radz. I know after that result, against that ‘team’, there will be frustration/despair but we’re still in a good position with a lot of season left to go and as I always think the season doesn’t begin until Easter I’m looking forward to it.
The guys that go think the same way you do m8,silly sending offs and injuries are killing us at the moment, but apart from Wolves I don't see anyone better.
As of last Friday I no longer officially live in Harrogate. Although I did notice the road to the new gaff still needs tarmac laying. Get it sorted and we can discuss it.
