    Just on sky
Their reporter met Joey from train and is on his way to QPR.
We have offered a 'substantial bid'.

I said earlier that it would take a good signing to get the ball rolling and others to join QPR. I have a good feeling that this could be the start.

What the hell is going on? I pop out for a long lunch at Morans - smoked pheasant salad and a mid-range claret - and come back to find this has all kicked off!??! That Tony Fenandes has a lot to answer for.....bring back Bernie & Flav and the £2.50/week wage cap!

Will he play at Wigan?? The mind boggles

have just seen this on the BBC website:

Paladini not involved then. Club making sure that everything is done by the book ... and more! No "mistakes".

The couple of 'controversial' episodes he has been involved in so far, the replays have proved that he was in the right! Perhaps a reformed character?! Leopard and spots??!

May have already been mentioned but if he's on a free then surely the wages can be afforded by the club...for a season at least ;)

Joey Barton has definitely split the board here. Half would love him (mainly for his footballing ability) the other half hate him (for other reasons). Players like him (and for example Savage) will always have their haters from supporters of 'other' teams but usually if they join 'your' team (I say usually...not always) get won over because they're the type of player that will fight tooth and nail for that team. I remember Mark Dennis being a player that I didn't really like but as soon as he joined I loved him..because he was OUR psycho. There can be SOME similarities between Barton and Marlon King who I think we all wanted nothing to do with (both are repeat offenders to some degree). Maybe because Barton is a higher class of footballer that would (not could...WOULD) help us in our fight to survive this year is why so many people would be happy to see him join. I think at the moment I'm one of those people.

Nice summary Gloucester. I don't think it fair to compare Barton (definitely a thug in the past) to King (violence to women), but welcomed the reminder of Mark Dennis, who was an outstanding nutter.

    Don't want.
Lets pay a little bit more, and buy Scott Parker instead.

    Super gloucester

I agree with you 100%. If we are lucky enough to get him i will bet that he will be a firm fans favourite within a month. He would give us great energy in the middle of the park and a bit of bite in our team

Great signing if happens. Think it shows ambition and will keep us up. Which really is the main priority here!
Throw in crouch, hitzlberger, bassong, traore and Bertrand on loan and we're flyyyyyyyyyinggggggggggggg. Good times
