Is this just coming from Steve “In da kna” Wraith or these tomato sauces close to Mike Ashley though? I’ve never heard a peep from him direct. It appears that the only genuine comment from him has been telling Rafa it was stalling and he will give him the money to keep us up. Seems good positive approach from the owner. If PCP have the money, they should stop pissing about, give him a little bit more, drop the silly clauses and crack on. I can’t see anything Ashley had done wrong.

Think Patrick is right on this one. Ashley has done nothing wrong. 1. Decided he wants to sell club at right price 2. PCP hasnt met his price expectation 3. He doesnt want to sell to them at price they offered and/or with clauses they want It may not sit well with us and it might backfire on him but its his call. The pcp offer was reasonable but he has set his price that he would accept. If they matched it then things would be different. He wants top dollar which is nothing to do with us as fans. The problem is no one will offer what he wants and this is why we will be stuck with the same **** week in week out. It matters not to us what the value of the club is. What matters is what is on the pitch. And at present that is poor.

Many a take-over has collapsed because the bidders didn't have the money, the most famous being Micheal 'keepie-up' Knighton's attempted take-over of Man Utd, he ended up at Doncaster Rovers iirc. Then there's the ones who appear to have the money, only to use the club as collateral, like West Ham's 'billionaire' biscuit barons who didn't have a pot to piss in and started the 2008 banking crisis leaving West Ham with £150m+ debt. At the end of the day the Halls could quite easily have made you the next Leeds, or Portsmouth. Ashley won;t let that happen, he's spent too much getting you out of the **** the previous owners left you in. you were spending money like Man Utd, all of it loaned against the club.
