Welbeck has lost a few yards of pace I think and he is really struggling these days. He is a nice guy and tries his heart out, but I think he is past it at this level. Giroud never relied on pace. He could be like Crouch and go on for a long time, and you know what you are going to get from him.
Looks like the deal is happening! Does not mention any player + cash coming our way so slightly disappointed, although at least we get a proven PL player from the off, which may just save a top 4 finish this year. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42762918 http://www.skysports.com/football/n...ryan-to-have-arsenal-medical-in-next-24-hours
Why on earth would you expect cash as well, you are getting a very good player who will fit your team much better than ours and is only half way through his contract in place of a player who could leave for free in 4 months and clearly doesn't want to be there. In all honesty I am disappointed we didn't get some cash back because Mhiky wasn't causing any problems for us and Sanchez just seems to be using us as a way out, he would much rather have gone to City I suspect. Time will tell who got the best deal out of this.
Looks like the Mikhi deal is done and the next one left is PEA. It may accelerate the PEA deal as his old team mate is playing for us. Wonder if that deal will happen tomorrow? Looking forward to seeing Mikhi, Ozil and Laca linking up in the next game.
I hope we don't **** up the Aubameyang deal. Soo many mixed messages on this one. Wenger saying 'nothing is happening' .. hopefully that just means he's not involved.
Hope so too. Have a good feeling about the new guy in. Auba sounds like he wants to come and we want him. Throw in his ex team mate Mikhi, sound like a good chance here.
Latest in the Auba deal is our first bid of 45m has been rejected. They want 55m and we're readying a second bid which should be half way at around 52m. Can't imagine they will reject it on the basis that he wants to leave after he has handed in a transfer request. We could sign him very soon.
Hope so - Weirdly its not even a transfer we need. I mean we have two decent centre forwards at the Club already ...but Aubamayang is a different class.
True but it's hard to pass up one of the best strikers in the world. Hopefully we get him and he has 3-4 years left in him and the new manager gets a ready made world class striker.
Lacazette has 9 goals in 26 appearances this season... So yeah, I think Aubameyang coming to us would give us a massive boost in the goalscoring department. That is IF we sign him. I have very little faith in the club to do the right thing these days.
He definitely wanted to go to City, and nearly did in the summer but for our Lemar deal falling through. He's only at Utd because City pulled out. As much as it stings to lose a player of his quality, especially to Mourinho, he is not a team player. Sanchez is all about Sanchez so expect strops, arm waving and his pissing off his team mates when things don't go his way. That said, I still think he'll score bucket loads of goals for you. As for the deal, I can't believe that we've managed to get Mkhitaryan from you to be honest. We were set to lose Sanchez for nothing in a few months and we've got a brilliant attacking midfield player in return. What would Mkhi value be on the transfer market £40m+ ? We managed to pull a phoenix from the flames on this one. Just hope we add Aubemeyang now and we've got a brilliant attacking force. Just need to sort out the midfield and defence now..........
I think Mislintat is involved in this one, and he knows PEA from his time at Dortmund too. So hopefully this makes the difference. Just leave Wenger out of it to be honest, he wants the player, that's all he needs to sanction. Leave the rest to the negotiators
Reports circulating that we've had a £40m bid rejected for Aubameyang and that Dortmund are asking for a fee in excess of £50m. I swear to God, I will hit the roof if we balls this up. We've spent virtually nothing (in terms of net spend) over the last few transfer windows, so no more bullshit half-arsed attempts. Get it done!
am worried Sanchez deal may disturb UTD team unity , with many unhappy players asking for a closer wages otherwise skills wise, there are no doubt we made the better deal. remember you could had sold Sanchez for 60m in summer, but you kept him and it cost u money and points with sanchez not as motivated and team looking at him and saying to each other "why bother too"? if you look to overall picture, I think not selling him in summer was stupid.. for UTD we rather have him with us than going to main rival.. so from this angle we made a great deal .. Mkhitaryan is a great player, but he was last player in our attacking force in past months, his work rate is bellow the standard, his form at UTD was inconsistent with more average games than good one.. am not sure even where he will fit in ur 11? you have Ozil who is as lazy and same style.. your mid will lack workrate when playing both together .. so basically you bought a bench warmer for 35m.. Again, smart deal is when you address your main weakness not a surplus for a position you already have a star player playing their. I think AW problem always he looked for bargains but not addressing the positions he lacked quality in them. .
He's been good though. For me its only really the Bournmouth game that he played badly in. He had a 9 game streak without scoring but during that period he still played very well(except Bournmouth). He was excellent against Chelsea for example. I think he's a class act. but ..Still would love Aubameyang at Arsenal.
Was thinking about this. I think If we do get Aubamayeng he HAS to play down the middle. 28 in his prime 21 goals already this Season. Lacazette has shown good workrate and linkup play so I would move him to the left. -------------------------Cech-------------------------- Bellerin-----Evans------Koscielny-----Monreal --------------Wilshere--------Xhaka----------------- ---Mkhitarian---------Ozil--------Lacazette------- --------------------Aubameyang--------------------- Bench: Ramsey, Giroud, Iwobi, Maitland-Niels, Mustafi, Kolasinac. Strong side with a good bench. Also if were going back to a back four we need some height brought in. Evans would be a good option as there would be no 'adjustment period' to deal with.
'no doubt' you made the better deal? Ozil lazy? My conclusion is you know little about football and the credibility of your opinions is shot with that comment about Ozil.
We didn't sell Sanchez in the summer because our deal for Lemar fell though. And a front line of Mkhitaryan, Ozil, Aubemeyang and Lacazette is an improvement on a sulking Sanchez who only plays for himself. As for addressing our other areas of weakness I agree, Wenger is frustrating as hell not buying a proper DM. We also need a new CB too.
