I said a while ago that I thought the Allams ideal end game would be to leave us in a lower league than when they started just as long as they got their money back from their original investment, because then they could point to when they said they weren’t going to invest anymore (because we were all being mean to them) and the fact that was in a higher league. To be able to say that we did them after all, and they wanted to stay forever, but fans forced them out and look where we are without their continued investment

I have no evidence of that, but neither have I seen anything to suggest that it isn’t the case

The Allams will hand the club over to the supporters trust with a comment such as ' You said we were making a mess of running the club, you said we should be doing things differently, over to you'

Explain to me how the ‘better team’ loses? You do understand that there’s only one aim in the game of football? To score more goals than the other team. You don’t get points for pretty passing or number of shots on target, therefore the team that achieves this one single, simple aim has played the game better than the other team.

I can’t think of a single game I have ever seen when the better team lost.

You are complicating things cause the better team can lose sometimes a team will be unlucky hitting the bar, post cleared off the line and completely dominate the other team but on the day the ball didn't go in the net then 1 deflected shot at the other end and they score. OK they got the result but there is a difference on the day between a better team and a lucky team. I've been to many games over the years were I have walked away and thought how did we win that?,they were miles the better team. You might look at it in a different way and base it on the result only but I judge the game on overall play and understand in most sports luck on the day is sometimes involved.

They’re not the better team then considering the only aim is to score more goals than the opposition.

Hitting the post is a shot off target, having an effort cleared off the line is poor finishing / good defending / both, a deflection in the defences favour means someone put their body in the way, dominating the other team in terms of having the ball means absolutely ****ing nothing.

It’s you that is over complicating things :emoticon-0148-yes:

Well we will agree to differ because some will say its result based only when judging a game but many others know that yes bad finishing is involved but to me sometimes luck plays a massive part in any game.

    Indeed.

Personally I don’t believe in luck in football other than the ball hitting something that shouldn’t be there, such as the Sunderland goal hitting a beach ball thrown on the pitch. Everything that involves only players isn’t luck, such as bad finishing, which means they didn’t play the game better. Peole saying ‘the best team lost’ is ridiculous save for a 1 in 10,000 occurrence.

If we are relegated at the end of this season it will be because the Allams are useless. With this seasons money, including gross transfer fees the Allams will have had an income of around £600 million, yes £600 million. With that backing they will have taken Hull City from the Championship, via the Premier League, to League 1 without a full team on the books. It takes some doing to achieve that. They could try and blame the Council, the supporters, the FA, Steve Bruce, Mike Phelan, but the truth is they are completely and utterly incompetent.

It depends what measure you're using. They've stopped putting in or guaranteeing the money. And are taking back the loan, charging a healthy interest all these years and it will be awhile before we find out how much profit they've took with them.
It stopped being a sense of pride and achievement a long time ago for them. This is just purely business, asset strip and leave.

No they’re not, Manchester United are better than them over the course of the season. That’s why we have these handy things called ‘league tables’ that clearly show the order in which teams performed best.

Over the course of a single game, Huddersfield Town achieved the aims of the game better than Manchester United did.
