I think the only folk who really don’t care are the Allams. That may be bitching but it is what it is. The general standard of football we are involved in is dire - both sides in each and every game are ****e. Today we had glimpses of our potential, but then it just fades away - we create very little and finish even less. Playing two out and out strikers is essential to winning games - we have nothing in midfield. I can see why many believe Adkin is taking us backwards, but the defence has improved under him, unfortunately he’s reluctant to commit his strikers, which I can understand, but the time has passed for his sensible prudence, the time is overdue for a gamble or two. We will be relegated with the mindset we have developed, it’s time to think attacking, shape up attacking and play attacking football.
If and its a huge if, he has instilled any confidence in this defence at all, then the next step has to be to go at it and see if the defence holds up. As it stands, we are no better off than under Sluts, in fact, and I personally would much rather have lost the last 4 away games 4-3 than 1-0.
There’s no such thing in football as ‘playing better’ and losing safe for a disastrous refereeing error. That isnr something we’ve suffered.
Oh I know mate, I know. But I think he does care. I don't think people really mean it when they say that. I think it's born of frustration and disappointment. Apologies.
So what if we do get relagated and the players that are out of contract don't get another one or won't accept the terms of whatever Ehab is offering. Down a division with no way back because Ehab does not care. Football means nothing to him and neither do the supporters. He will not be buying his way to promotion so we only have the young kids coming up and if one of them does well and catches the eye of another club he will be gone cos he will be an asset to be sold. God knows where it will all end.
I mean exactly what I said. If a team wins then barring a ludicrous refereeing error they played better by definition.
I think football does mean something to him. He thinks he can do a moneyball at city. Got rid of our best ever manager and thinks he can buy cheap and turn a profit by selling them on. He probably thinks Maguire Clucas etc were his buys and look at what I made.
Awful, gutless performance - Timori bottling an innocuous tackle summed it up really - the three Chelsea lads were a waste of space, Meylers first seven passes went straight to a Sunderland player and Toral flatters to deceive - you know we're ****ed when we have two knotheads playing for us - Adkins is ****ing clueless taking FC off and replacing him with Keane - we're losing you silly ****, trying attacking, we trying to score aren't we- **** owners, **** manager and **** team - I keep hoping we're going to turn the corner, no chance, - **** knows why we're letting the Allams get away with it - there's a total lack of fight in the club - ****ing about discussing brand guidelines is a complete and utter waste of time - this so called amnesty was mooted early November, the next meeting is early February - three months of total bullshit and no progress whatsoever - they're taking the piss - is this really the best we can do - if it is we deserve everything they throw at us
Exactly, it's what I have been banging on about for a while. He thinks he can make more money trading players than selling generators. Clueless ****.
To say that's an over simplification is an understatement. Happy says bollox, I say that is can be bollox, not always but it can happen, and does, often.
This is the whole point now, most of the players out of contract know they are not going to be offered new ones so they don't give a **** now. The loanees are too inexperienced, and are not fully committed to the cause. Couple that with the toxicity running through the club and you have a cocktail for disaster. It's becoming clearer now, the Allam's will leave us in division 1, or hand the club over to some accountancy firm that will in the end probably put us into administration, with no players of note, and then blame the fans for not supporting them, and that is why they have done what they have done. It will never be their fault.
That’s right, John, and they will also claim they liaised with supporter groups to listen to their concerns and ideas. It’s been clear for quite a while. A reasonable barometer of the general apathy infecting our club - management, squad, support - is this thread and it’s slow decline.
