No one wants to intentionally sign inferior players but the market we are shopping in means we have to gamble on players who might or might not be able to step up. We are where we are unfortunately.

If he's really a Rangers fan he won't do it. Admittedly Dennis Wise did but come on Crouchy, have some respect.

Taken from an interview he did while at Liverpool:

My dad was a massive Chelsea fan and I used to go with him to Stamford Bridge quite regularly but my mates were all QPR fans and so I used to also go to some games at Loftus Road with them. I never really classed myself as a fan of either but since playing for QPR I'd say my allegiance is more towards them. They are the team whose results I look out for. I don't care for Chelsea anymore; there is no allegiance there whatsoever. In fact, seeing as they are our rivals now, I hope they lose every game!“

I see Derby picked up Cameron Jerome supposedly for 1,5 million. He's 31 but that sounds a good deal compared to much higher striker prices quoted on here. I'd have happily seen him come in exchange for Washington who apparently cost twice that.

Isn't it strange how Washington can get so much grief for not doing his job. We conceded 3 today at home. Do we give the defenders as much criticism. I want Holloway out cos he's doing a poor job. What's good for the goose and all that.....

Also no goals scored at home and only 2 shots on target, the 1 from defender Lynch, and the other from Conor I think. Our best attempts were from defenders - Robbo's from long range, just missed, and Lynch's.

And virtually a whole thread with no rumoured incomings or players linked. All about the cull.
