    love redbeard but just think he's carrying a lot of weight in this ground , and some less exposed ones lurking down the bottom , love to be wrong and will be cheering the capt whatever !

    The Old One does it again - in the way he usually does - the hard way. Hard to crib him though, he is what he is, namely very good with his favoured conditions :)

    Personally I think he's always been just short of Champion Hurdle class but he does have stamina (having won the Neptune) and I am surprised they haven't had a go at the Stayers Hurdle before now.

    I really should leave that ****er alone - I don't think I've ever called one of his races correctly in his long career. When I think he has no chance he wins, when I fancy him he runs like a drain. Fair play to him though <laugh>

    He would have won it 2014, anyone who says otherwise is full of absolute ****e. Jumped the hurdle neck and neck with Jezki and was 5L behind after it with momentum lost. That was his year. He got beat a half length by My Tent at Kempton after blundering the last, he was always going to reverse that at Cheltenham.

    gives me no pleasure , but he drifted to 16/1 before the off , so a good return for ew , but another fine honest effort , it's why we love racing mate !
