Taken us off once before, however I think he genuinely wants rid this time. Not for some altruistic reason, but simply because we have outlived our use to him. Sports Direct are as big as they will ever get. There are no further markets for them to conquer. If the club remains in the PL, it will be an attractive buy and Ashley can make a tidy profit. Newcastle council blocked one of the planning applications i believe. By buying the land, Ashley has affectively scuppered any chance that the Galliwgate end can be extended.
