Taken us off once before, however I think he genuinely wants rid this time. Not for some altruistic reason, but simply because we have outlived our use to him. Sports Direct are as big as they will ever get. There are no further markets for them to conquer. If the club remains in the PL, it will be an attractive buy and Ashley can make a tidy profit. That's why I think come the summer he will be gone.
Plus he’s ****ed us by taking the £60m-worth of land behind the gallowgate. I’m astonished noones literally tried to find and kneecap the insidious bastard.
If memory serves me well, I think the construction company he's also involved in are planning to build on the land.
Newcastle council blocked one of the planning applications i believe. By buying the land, Ashley has affectively scuppered any chance that the Galliwgate end can be extended.
This thread was meant to be about saying goodbye to Mike. Now it has turned into a bad version of 'allo 'allo!
The Halls to blame for that then. They should have put a clause in relating to it. I suspect though it was sold as something he could develop the ground or develop for himself. He chose the latter.
Now this I believe as absolute bollocks. Don’t think Ashley would want to see anything but the cheque if the price is right.
