The stats on the BBC site are a bit alarming.

    Possession 33% - 67%
    Attempts on target 3 - 14
    Attempts off target 1 - 7
    Corners 0-6
    Fouls 10 -10

Just shows that we were played off the park, basically.

Want some political style positive spin?

Sunderland converted 66% of their shots on target compared with Chelsea's 57%

We were played off the park by a magnificent side second half.

Any way of finding the half time stats??

Great game shame about the result i thought Steed & Bardo were fantastic tonight and the others played well.

Chelsea were back to there best

Looking to the stoke game i would switch Anton with mensah & Henderson with Sulley.

Hendo could do with a break just so he knows hes not always first choice to keep him on his toes & i think mensah will handle the threat of Carew & jones better than Anton

Anelka was outstanding. Henderson, altough played out of position, was woeful, and Terry is a disgusting bloke.

For me, I bring Mensah back in on Saturday too. I think he's more likely to handle the physicallity of Stoke than Anton

He was poor tonight, but you have got to look at the quality of the oppo IMO. He has to step up to the plate on Saturday when he wont be up against Essien, Lampard et al.

Really enjoyed the game, if not the result.

Can't have to many complaints after watching a game of football like that, we we're simply out passed second half.

    I agree completely...

He has been poor for the past 5/6 weeks...seems to have lost any flair he had, or any hunger. His passes either go sideways or backwards and seems to bottle any big occasions at the minute. He has been our worst player against the mags in both games, when you would think he would be the most determined to play his guts out for the team.

I agree that the best team won, but the decision for the corner which led to Chelsea's third goal is one that I definitely want to see again. From where I was sitting it was a crap decision, which was given by Chelsea players who influenced the officials.

Fantastic game. We were outplayed second half and I agree with all the comments about Anelka - simply superb. Henderson was very poor - run ragged by the Chelsea midfield. Another top performance from Steed - how does he manage to keep going?
    Bring on Stoke!

    Harsh on Hendo.

Henderson is a quality player, but is still inexperienced. His inexperience is exposed against quality players who do have experience (Essien, Anelka etc).

He might have even had a poor 5/6 games (all players have a dip in form at some point), but how about the other 62 games he has played for us ?? If SAF thinks he is worth 15-20 million he probably is, and i would take his judgment over yours (or mine) any day.

mate henderson is not by any stretch of the imagination a quality player. he is a decent player who plays well against the lower teams but as soon as he is up against anybody willing to close him down he is garbage and goes missing. its an unfortunate fact but true. iv said for weeks we should snap their hands off for £15m never mind £20m and i think the derby then last night showed that against a decent midfield he is sadly lacking
