Apparently arsenal have lodged a 22m bid?

Holding midfield so i guess he would go central with either Song or wiltshere

Really? Where's the ketchup my good man? Seems a f*ck load of money for a DM when we already have 2. Clearly we are far more in need of a creative midfielder, centre back, left back, forward.....

So it looks like we're going to break our record transfer fee by the end of the month. *touch wood*

It was on daily mail so its not true. SOrry if you had a transfer hard-on but still nothing.

daily mail are about as factual as fritzl is a good father

    He's quality.

6'0 Powerful. Simular to De Jong.

I guess that would mean Wenger intends to push Wilshere further forward.

    Hope its true.

I did have a brief semi at the merest sniff of a rumour. Ah well. The 22m did seem about 8m too much as well so they couldn't even be bothered to get their figures right. Tards.

  7. Well if we get him and possibly one CB or LB, we could ensure that our leakage stops. That's got to be worth almost 15 points in a season. That kind of margin would have won us the EPL last year and thus made Mancini and his millionaires have to qualify for the CL instead......

Yup and if Wilshere keeps improving and Wenger gets the best out of Arshavin (finally) things might not be soo bad afterall.

If we signed M'Villa, Hazard and Jagielka I would be a happy man.

So would you drop either Song or Pingpong or would you remove a central midfielder and stifle our creativity further? Arguments for both options so I'm just curious.

Song did play a blinder in the first udinise game and was up and down chasing the ball and making some really good passes. Wenger obviously saw this and decided to go for someone else holding and pust wilshere - song more forward.

Everton want 18m for Jakielka. I prefer he spends that money on cahill.....

Hazard wont come to arsenal. He was Lille best player last year you think they want to let him go. Or maybe they are like arsenal and getting rid of their best players.. (mata, gerv)

  11. Much as I would be elated, I doubt too if Lille were to release Eden Hazard. They may do so in January, who knows? If we don't get him this time round, we could always bide our time till then or next summer which will be here before we know it......

Personally I would play two defensive mids away and just the one at home.(Pimpong would have to fight it out with Song) I would also give Wilshere the oppurtunity to play in the free role that Fabregas used to have.

    Away:
    -----------------Szcezney----------------
    Sagna--NewCB----Vermaelen--Jenkinson
    -----------Song--------M'Villa-------------
    ----------------Wilshere-------------------
    Walcott--------VanPersie-------Arshavin

    Home:
    -----------------Szcezney----------------
    Sagna--NewCB----Vermaelen--Jenkinson
    Walcott----Wilshere---M'Villa---Arshavin
    -----------VanPersie
    ------------------Gervinho/Campbell

If we brought in Hazard I would play him berhind RVP in 4-4-1-1 at home and on the left of a 4-3-3 away.

I suggest we combine fringpong and song to make fringsong and then they wouldnt have to fight for a place.....

    Any thoughts?

i reckon if M'Villa comes in, he'll play against Frimpong for the holding role and Song will be deployed in a more box-to-box role.

Song's role has changed a lot over the last year and I reckon Wenger sees his future as being more mobile than a true DM. Would mean only one of Ramsey & Wilshere playing if Song played, but it's a role that Wilshere can also fulfill.
