To avoid earache, friction & confrontation it’s getting delivered.

What’s Sunderland like this time of year?

    Grim, Ben, really grim.

Stay in Newcastle and get the Metro to the Stadium of Light.

Sunlan and The Toon is like North and South Korea but in order to avoid a 'No politics, ta' response I'm not actually going to say that.

So you'll just have to guess.

    I’m laughing like ****.

Booked us into dirty Leeds for the night. Bit of shopping, few drinks, summat to eat, few more drinks, bed, breakfast, home.

Just checked their fixture for tomorrow.

    That’ll be fun.

    Pack riot gear.

    Retford may have been better!

    Supplied by the Federation Brewery.

Who made a brew called Ace Lager.

Now I drank a lot of Ace Lager in the late 80s, mainly because it was so cheap that you could drink it and claim a rebate on your water bill, but regardless of how much you drank it was impossible to actually get drunk on it.

    It had no taste.

    It defined bland.

It had no impact on those who experienced it.

It was, and remains, the liquid expression of Sunderland.

When I drank the stuff, it was always cooking lager for me as I couldn't afford better.

I occasionally drink the Belgium brew in our local Italian and it's palatable. I don't kick off and wreck the place but neither do I leave a five star review on TripAdvisor.

I straddle the fence on this one tbh.

My sister was such a fan that she called her first cat 'Stella'.

Her next cat was called Brandy. For similar reasons.

She then called her next cat Muffin.

I never dared ask her why.
