If we bought him back, that would be a travesty to me, sell for nothing, buy back for 3-4m! don't think so!
Just get this striker thing sorted. Just offer 6.5M for Maynard, get him signed and move on. Nugent and Maynard up front will be quality and will score a shed full of goals
So NM wasnt included in the squad for Swindon last night because he was "injured". Anyone else starting to think that with the whole Waghorn situation...that maybe...just maybe....?
We just need to wait until we hear something concreate as at the minute we are still going off hear say
Bristol are playing Swindon tonight, they didn't play last night. I don't think Maynard is playing tonight though.
Thats the one - was interpreting the BC official forum...incorrectly it seems...but the point still stands!
Wouldn't work if we are going to keep 4-4-2, and i certainly wouldn't drop Nugent atm! Just Maynard thanks
Got a point there. Maynard looks like another one of those that needs to be more physical/aggressive to be the complete striker. I think we need this up front at the moment because teams are sitting deep against us at home and we can't just thread balls through for pacey players to run onto. We need to give the ball to players feet and hope one of them uses a bit of individual talent to create something. The pressure is on players like King and if we got Maynard, him as well, to make something out of nothing. I think they are 2 players that have the talent but I wonder if they can A) handle the pressure and B) be aggressive/strong enough against a wall of big defenders. I think this is the thing that Beckford has that we need, then again I did recently say it was a stupid rumour, so I should probably just pipe down
At home we need to go 4-4-2 as we lack the players to break teams down, having 2 striker up front will only help. Look in the league 1 season every team put people behind the ball but with 2 strikers up top we broke them down. The only team that came who played an open game was Peterborough and we beat them 4-0 4-4-2 is needed at home
Bert has re tweeted this on twitter off someone called Bob Bentley #LCFC #BCFC Maynard deal is done, he's on his way to the east midlands. #AskBob
