You have a very short memory indeed. It is actually, to borrow a phrase, the cheese eating surrender monkeys who have reverted to type and capitulated. Last year there was lots of froth and bluster from senior French politicians Macron Juppe, etc and a few remoaners on here, about the forthcoming renegotiation of the Le Touquet agreement. This included plans to remove the border from French soil and move it to Kent. In reality the UK has spent hundreds of millions already maintaining this border so another £45 million is small change along with taking a few more migrants. Nothing has basically changed.
Can we try to reduce the use of negative national stereotypes used SH. and try to debate in a more adult fashion ? It is hardly surprising that Britain has never really worked as a cooperative partner in the EU. when people like you (and so many other Brexiters) have such negative ideas about the French, Germans and others.

I suggest you start to realize that the World did not stop in 1945 - your 'picture' of the World appears to be rooted in this era. Do we need reminding that the French soldiers belonged to the best of the World in the 1914-18 War and during the Napoleonic Wars ? France was a deeply divided nation in 1939 - with a Fascism of its own to contend with and with the same weaponry as it had had in 1918 - it was also not protected by water as was the case with Britain. Europe really does not need people like you for the future - and it is certainly better in many ways that you (and many other Brexiters) are leaving - we don't need you ! Looks to me that the Knighthood for Farage is further off of the SH radar than it was yesterday as he doesn't agree that "it’s a humiliating capitulation". What we witnessed yesterday was one leader stating facts, and the other avoiding questions, reverting to the programmed catch phrases. I am afraid that it shows up that there can be access to only some of the cake if payment is made, but no matter what offers of payment are made some of the best bits will not be available to a third country.

UKIP and Farage have contributed enormously to the UK's escape from the shaky but looming EU superstate but their usefulness to the UK is now extremely limited. UKIP should fold and Farage should concentrate on making his personal fortune. Of course he can be wheeled out as Trump's mate if we need him to help with any UK- US trade issues.

I have just watched last night's This Week. The general agreement was the £45 million UK contribution was "a bargain". Quite a long way from the previous nonsense of moving borders from senior French politicians and some on here.
No, the far left and far right do not have the support in the UK as they have in many EU countries. UKIP's votes will mostly revert back to the Tories, some to Labour.
