Didnt even leave the pitch, but of course, to make it sound exciting, all the commentators (even the one on Footballleague show, which is shameful) said it was "launched into the crowd"
High-scoring affair, 2-2 or 3-2 either way. Going to guess 2-2, with Leicester scoring first, Saints rebounding to take the lead by half, and Leicester pouring it on after the break.
Aha fair enough, I was wrong! The highlights showed it from an angle where it looked like he was throwing it sideways. Watching that video I have no idea how the ball ended up near the halfway line, it seemed to curve!?
Sorry but I dont fear Leicester after there below par start to the season. But just got a feeling they will still win.
In fairness it was closer to the crowd than it was to the centre spot which is where he should have been throwing it for the restart. And some complain about the accuracy of Kelvins distributions.
If Leicester get they're act together I can see them edging this one. If they don't then an away win..
I don't understand how Schmeichel got penalised for 'throwing the ball away' - whenever someone scores from the penalty spot the goalkeeper does usually boot it up field, he wasn't wasting time as it hit the half way line in the end, and it was just out of frustration which is understandable. Ridiculous decision. Anyway, I think this one will be a draw as well tbh, I'll go for 2-2 with it being a fairly even game. Wish Leicester all the best for the season and hope they get promoted, despite a lot of teams hatred towards their big spending. Any Leicester fans have any idea of what the attendence will be? Was a hard decision between going to the game or going to the cricket finals day - but after a long 3 minutes of humming and harring, I chose the game
Good choice, especially since its the last game for a fortnight Attendance is usually around 22000-24000, i dont expect it to be any more or less this weekend.
I'll go for exactly 22,783 And it will remain like that until we either start rising up the table or tickets become cheaper.
Sorry, I admit I was a bit hasty to label them filthy, I merely refer to the fact that on previous form this season, there will be cards, even if refs are targetting you unfairly. However, on the Schmeichel clip that was posted, imo his body language alone suggests it was only poor distribution that stopped that ball going off the sideline. He certainly wasn't aiming that to the centre circle by anyone's standards! The ball also certainly ends up nowhere nearer the centre circle than it does the crowd - halfway between the two, I'd say! If I'm wrong, then he's probably the sole keeper in any league you choose to mention who would be anxious to get the game going again asap when only a goal up and with less than ten minutes left on the clock! Still, a harsh yellow, admittedly. Didn't see the first (as apparently he didn't either), as they didn't show it on the FLS, so don't know the full context. And another thought - if he claims that he didn't know he was already on a booking, that suggests to me like he's saying that if he had known, he wouldn't have chucked the ball away like he did. So sounds like he's holding his hands up there to a bit of time-wasting. (meant to represent a ref)
I'm gutted that he's back between the sticks for our game this weekend, though, with his fancy Premiership experience. My brother-in-law supports Leicester - that's really where my anxiety for this game stems from: always makes it worse with some personal interest at stake. All the same, we did put a few scorchers past his dad in our day, so hope that legacy will be passed down to the current Saints team... I think the commentator on the FLS didn't at first see the incident, so ASSUMED that Kasper booted the ball into the crowd, since the ref took the drastic action of a second booking. Then, on a (not very clear) replay, he changes it to "he bowled the ball out" - yes, bowling the ball into the crowd sounds like a bookable offence doesn't it? Of course, no one even commented on the fact that a Forest player absolutely leathers the ball into row z after our first goal...
Lallana looks decent but still isnt proven at this level. We have King he will take a chance given one
