It is amazing that someone so young feels he needs to write his story. It is even more amazing that there are people out there who will want to read it. I read lots of biographies but only from people who have had an adult life and career (or careers) rather than just a childhood.
Walcott is an above average Premiership player .....I first saw him play as a 15yo, he then broke into our 1st team, my opinion then was that Theo would develop into a top top player........as I said he's an above average Premiership player, will he develop into a top top player.....time still on his side but NO I don't think Theo Walcott will ever fulfill his maximum potential.
I have to say that i like walcott but whenever i see him play it's so frustrating,he can run past players with ease at times but then can totally waste his final ball,if i was an arsenal fan i'd tear my hair out with him at times.Still i doubt he cares now,he's a millionaire with a great lifestyle, that's a real comforter!
It's sad to see what Walcott has become, looking at youtube videos of his time at Saints it's clear to see he was actually a better player then than he is now. I can't actually see the difference between him and Forte now truthfully... they're both fast and can go past players with ease but they're not what I'd call 'technically gifted' like Alex is.
people shouldn't resent chamberlain this much, he didn't even support southampton, so you can't expect him to not be attracted by bigger clubs through blind loyalty. It is in saints interest for chamberlain to succeed, remember we have a sell on fee, and if he manages to develop into the player we all thought he could be, he is bound to be sold for a hefty fee after arsenal become a mid table club
I'd like to see AOC do well and get in an England shirt. Heaven alone knows the national squad could do with a few talented players. Wishing ill-will on former players won't help us, whereas reflected glory will help attract more young superstars to our academy. Did he leave too soon? Yes, IMO, he did. He'd have learnt a lot more playing regularly every week than warming the subs bench at Arsenal, but that's his choice. We got £12-15m and a 40% sell-on fee for him, and our league position shows that we aren't missing him. Far better that than unrest disrupting the squad.
On topic, and an interesting bit of info. I think AOC is only a few games away from getting a bit of pitch time. But I don't think that will signal Wenger's intent to play him regularly. If he thinks he's going to start a game, this season, then I believe he's been smelling some rather dubious substances. Even with their suddenly depleted squad, Arsenal will have to rack up a who'-who injury list before that happens. At this very moment, AOC is slightly less of a player than he was, mere weeks ago.
I wish AOC well and hope he gets first team action asap. The more he gets into the lime light the better for SFC. Our academy will be promoted and the add-ons will be paid. It's a win-win for saints. I can't believe people hope he gets injured or fails at Arsenal. He has left. Get. Over. It.
I am over the fact that alex has gone but i still stand by the fact that i hated the way him and his dad went about it all,to be honest i'm surprised by the amount of people who support him,not that it's not ok to support him if you wish but i don't think any saints fans that criticise him should be frowned upon.
Dont give a Sh*t if he plays or not disrespectful little pr*ck. The way he left was a total disgrace to a club who has looked after him since the age of 7 and made him the player he is today.
The answer to the thread is "the bench"! What if Arsenal were to loan him back for some first team experience, would he actually get on at the moment?
