    LJ Today ~

    LJ on Gary Rowett

It was a good sign that Gary signed a new deal as we need good English coaches. His career has been very good up to this date.
    LJ on Derby
They’re a very well established Championship club. It’s up to us to match them. But I do believe we’re a good team. How many times have we been on Sky? I need a new wardrobe allowance.
    LJ on bad run
I don’t feel we’re in that mindset. I think you have to take each game on its merits. I’d remove the Watford and Villa ones - because of the sheer overload of fixtures. We could have won the Norwich game. We’ve got a full week ahead of the Derby game - with new players to integrate. Ryan Kent, Liam Walsh and Famara Diedhiou has returned to full training.
    More LJ on transfers
If I was a League One manager I’d be looking to bring in Zak. He can be a top level centre-half. He can bring the ball out. He needs to learn the sneaky stuff within the laws of the game.
    LJ on transfers
You never know. We’ve set our stall out to keep our best players and I think that will continue. There does need to be outgoings. But that’s not a financial one, more to clearing the pathway and some players will move on. Zak has had a lot of interest - he could go in the next 48 hours.
    LJ on long term injuries
Gary O’Neil is now running but not ready yet. Milan is in Italy seeing a specialist. The beauty of this squad is that the players are very flexible. Credit to the players as they know the job roles.
Lee Johnson press conference - injuries latest
Injury news is that Gus Engvall has picked up a knock to his hip in training. Matty Taylor might have the onset of a hernia but we don’t know just yet. And Bailey Wright has had a scan to his knee, but Famar Diedhiou might be back.

Good news about Diedhiou - he's certainly putting Vyner in the shop window for a loan!

Interesting that he says 'there needs to be outgoings' - I agree that we don't want a bloated squad, which we've suffered before, but not sure who you would consider expendable. Maybe the likes of Golbourne & O'Neil? Not sure who would pay a fee and take on their wages though, particularly with injuries...

I am glad he is off to Plymouth, he deserves to be playing, showed a few good signs for us so far ..regular football will do him good... just hope he plays more than Garita did down there!
