Good Morning Everyone Leeds are chasing Sporting Lisbon defender Tobias Figueiredo. Leeds were linked with the centre back before the winter window opened and then everything went quiet, with the Portuguese club exploring other options for a sale or a loan. The Portuguese giants want €3-4m for the 23 year old. Sporting beat Aves 3-0 on Sunday and Figueiredo was again out of the squad. He’s only been included four times this season and has featured for Sporting’s B team more. Leeds are joint second favourites to sign Derby forward Chris Martin. Morning all: Rodwell is yet another player who had his career ruined by a top Prem club. He was probably Evertons best player and on the fringes of replacing Lampard or Gerrard. He took the big wages at Man City and sat on his arse before having to accept he had made the wrong decision, he had stopped learning, and was just taking the cash. He got out but when a kid like him is earning a huge sum in a team imploding the dressing room is bad and his wages dont help. He needs a fresh challenge and to accept a huge drop in wages or will never get another break in football. On sensible money he could be the difference for us. I would also take Clayton as he has plenty of qualities, promotion to the prem twice for a start. I hear that we are not interested him even though papers say we are. I too saw the Sporting Lisbon story back in the Summer and now. If this is a real story the lad is good and would replace Cooper. He is as good as Pontus but without the cards and suspensions. It also begs the question about Pennington who has a great future ahead of him, why are we not trying to get him unless Big Sam wants him back next season? Chris Martin? Something wrong with this kid. He is the championships top scorer over the last 3 seasons (Combined tally) so he does the business yet Derby fooked him off last season to Fulham, he was wanting to go elsewhere and at one stage refused to play for Fulham. Derby dont want him this season and prefer the likes of a very old Nugent and 2 or 3 more ahead of him. Worth a risk if he is willing to drop his wages and we find out what makes him tick
Rodwell is done as a footballer, he is trying to get a payoff at Sunderland and hasn't accepted their "generous" offer to cancel his contract and walk away from £70k a week ... imagine having a job where you get paid £70k a week to do fcuk all, and people still believe there is nothing wrong with the Prem and it's excess Chris Martin is clearly a problem child ... he can be brilliant for a few games and then just coast along for the next few ... we need better than that the Sporting Centre Back sounds like a good un, he will cost a bit but not a bad call as he's only 23 still feel that Bamford from Boro would be a good shout, he can play for sure but he needs to be starting every week ... at MK Dons he was mustard, saw him a few times and his movement and touch were exceptional ... he's also decent in the air, but it may cost at least £6m to get him, although Boro have a bloated squad on high wages so they may well consider a deal Clayton a no for me, he is another who can be inconsistent ... yes, he's always busy but he won't be an improvement ... let Boro keep paying his wages while he plays in their U23s I say

I see that my fav target and one Leeds have been looking at is maybe ready to sign for Rennes as Leeds havent made an offer yet. £3m would do the deal for Prijavic who is prolific in Poland for 2 seasons and almost a goal per game for Salonika in the Greek league this season. Another kid has been touted bu so called ITK people in Norway Earland Haarland son of Alf is knocking goals in from all over, and even though he is only 17 hes a first teamer. Inter Milan are chasing him but he says that he wants to play for Leeds Utd and win the Premier League with Leeds Utd. He also said he expects to be on the bench more at Inter Milan so would prefer to go to Leeds. Alf thinks the kid is brilliant and hes big, the young lad says he is a better player than his dad?

Me being not too stupid. Wolves not being too stupid put CBJ on the bench most of last season while with them. Orta being stupid doesnt bother to think CBJ may be crap or have a serious head problem. Leeds sign CBJ on a season long loan, I think sounds good. I use google then find out he was at Wolves and not used why I ask myself because Im not stupid. We give him a chance becauae hes young.
