It is an Alfa unit, but not the one that they had raced when they were still a factory team as that was a V8 turbo. Which was pretty rubbish. I mean, a 1.5l turbo V8, practically needed a fuel tanker following it around the course, hence when refueling was first banned after 1983 the unit was obsolete but carried on and was still used in 1987 badged as an Osella. Which made it even more rubbish. So, what is the story with this one? Clue, you have already mentioned BMW.
