This is the other thing. Players can force clubs to sell anyway now it seems, but if we insert a release clause we an turn around to any club and say his release clause is £50m pay up or go home. If can kicks up a fuss just say to him you signed it, you knew it was there, if that club really wanted you then they’d pay it wouldn’t they? If they don’t maybe they don’t rate you that highly like we do etc
Jurgen Klopp urged to make ‘stupid’ Liverpool FC offer to sign 24-year-old goalkeeper Robbie Savage tells Liverpool FC boss Jurgen Klopp to target Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland
Liverpool have been told that it will take more than €80m (£71m) to prise Suso away from AC Milan this month.
English players are vastly over rated. When was last time we had a decent English keeper. I'm thinking seamen, before that Shilton and clemence. Southall was Welsh wasn't he?
Klopp will buy a goalkeeper this summer and Roma’s Alisson is a target for Liverpool, says @_pauljoyce
Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak is another potential candidate, although the Slovenian has a €100 million (about £89 million) buy-out clause. (Paul Joyce)
Alisson is valued at around £44m - his value is likely to soar if he has a good World Cup. And Roma will want to get as much as possible after we grabbed a bargain with Salah.
What's the record for a GK? I thought that it was Ederson at City for around £35m? Might be wrong. Klopp referred to the ratio between players when we bought VvD. A top defender = half the price of a top attacker. What would a top keeper be as a % to a top defender? Prior to VvD, let's say Ederson at £35m and the top defender let's say Walker at £50m. (GK = 75% of the defender) Now that the defender price is £75m, by using the same ratio, a top GK will cost us £56m. Anything less (as long as they are actually a top keeper!) is good. It's all f#cking madness mind....
I said salah might get more set pieces now (we were talking about coutinho leaving) then he had a dig about direct free kicks or something so i told greez salah has been taking corner set pieces on occasions, especially when couts hasn't played. #followtheconvo as for Pool, no thanks, i don't fancy becoming delusional and i actually prefer have a standman than an astro. We can give you ginger though
Fairly certain that when Barca slapped £200m on Neymar they were thinking no-one will ever pay that. The problem with all of this is that clubs will put in ever more prohibitive clauses, but at some point, some mega-rich club will pay it and this contributes to a rapid inflation once again.
