A lot of clubs the chairman is also the owner of the club and Jenkins is not he is employed as chairman and therefore he has to follow his bosses instruction.....What can he do when the owners want to sell.....Not a lot really....
I can assure you he was not an owner but a shareholder just like the rest....The Morgans owned the club....
.... and I can assure you that owning just circa 22% of the shares of a Company like the Morgans did does not give you control. If Jinx was opposed to the deal, he could have refused to sell his shares.
Jenkins has never been an owner or part owner. He was a shareholder and thats all. The Morgans were the owners and were entitled to sell the club, which they did....
A shareholder is an owner of the Club/Company. For someone's who is a businessman, I'm surprised that you have a blind spot to something so basic.
Well answer me this then Dai..... I, along with 8 other guys, each own 10% of a start-up Company. 2 other guys each own 5%. That's all the shares - 100% Who owns this Company?
You are not that stupid that you did not know that the Morgans were the owners who had the control to sell the club which they did and like i said if the minor shareholders did not like it they could sell their shares which they did,,,,,The owners were named as the morgans......They all made money...
Sorry Dai but I have read the above a few times in case I was missing something but your logic on this point fails me.
By investors I was referring to the backers of Kaplan & Levien who invested in their original purchase and would be required to underwrite further spending, possibly agree further spending (depending on their agreements) or agree to accept losses if the gamble of investment didn't work. You ware right the majority shareholders haven't invested a penny in players but, being devil's advocate, they could say the other shareholders haven't either! Couldn't agree more on your comment about the oath Bank - bring back standing. As old and decrepit as I am I would still stand and chant if the opportunity was there.
anyone see Ayew's goal? BBC compared it to Ricardo Villa's goal in the 81 cup final for Spurs v Man City!!!!
