The BBC have been repeating Dad's Army for the last 40+ years, so anyone who knows how to channel surf has a 50/50 chance of getting the joke.
Random Prospect Watch (x3) On the one hand it appears that we are on the verge of signing Stevenage's 18-year old centre back Ben Wilmot...on the other hand The Sun are reporting this, so first things first it needs to be confirmed whether or not Stevenage even have a player named Ben Wilmot at their club. Murdoch's hate comic is also linking us with Villa's Andre Green, who seems to be linked with us at least once a season, and it does have to be said that we haven't made our annual Completely Random Winger signing yet - although surely Maxwel Cornet is the front-runner in that regard, given he ticks all the boxes (namely being fast, playing in Ligue 1, and having a West African background) Finally we're being linked with a summer move for Norwich's James Maddison, who we were linked with a couple of seasons back when he was still with Coventry...and about a week later he moved to Norwich instead.
I remember the link with him a couple seasons back, a lot of talk of being another Alli type signing. Playing really well for Norwich this season, could be a decent back up for Eriksen.
We've recalled CCV while sent Edwards out to Norwich. Can't deny that part of me wanted Edwards to get some chances but it seems it isn't to be for this season. Strange to call CCV back, I thought he was playing fairly regularly for Sheffield. Maybe there's a plan to loan Foyth out (?) in order to allow both CCV and Foyth half a season with Spurs and half a season playing.
Number of reports saying it's near enough done, supposedly an £850k deal with him staying at Stevenage for the remainder of the season.
Somewhere out there, a blogger is suggesting Edwards' loan is a sweetener for us signing James Maddison. Wait, I nearly forgot... UPDATE THE OP please log in to view this image
Could genuinely be plausible. Even excluding past and present links with the player, Maddison fits our criteria - young, technical, English and with big potential.
I'm glad CCV has been recalled. When Toby and Vic were both out we looked alarmingly thin on the ground at the back. He would at least give us an option with a bit more experience than Foyth to cover and/or start from the bench. There is also a possibility that Toby's return date has been pushed back. Hoping that is not the case.
Possibly we are going to sign another non home grown player and Foyth's slot in the CL squad needs to be freed up?
