Quick google says he's been on the "SOUTHAMPTON FOOTBALL CLUB LIMITED" board since the reshuffle last June. Marketing. https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/06951765/filing-history
I think we got the wrong Chinese owner, the wolves one who is 'best mates' with Jorge Mendes would have been a bit more influential. Perhaps our transfer business is being limited by our reputation in the agent sphere. We will no doubt never do business with koeman/VVD agents again. Mendes and Fonte did us no favours. If we can't get players in any longer the board are in a snake eating its own tail scenario. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...c-wolverhampton-wanderers-porto-a7828671.html http://www.goal.com/en-au/news/how-...-turned-wolves-into/h7ssj4w8wk0i14n9nzctkkw6g
I agree. Can't stand it and the Mendes influence will end badly guaranteed. Mendes and a super rich Chinese are 'friends' too. Like their kids go to the same school and they barbecue on the weekends or like the Chinese guy has a bottomless pit of money that Mendes can carve off for himself at will. I was walking the Abel Tasman track a week ago and bumped into a wolves fan. He told me Mendes was on the board - mistaken as it turns out - but if the fans are under that impression the links are obviously too close.
Mendes apparently identified the club to buy, installed the manager and helped sign top players. Nothing dodgy about that. Nope. Point the finger at Les though because his son is an agent.
