I don't think it's anything to be worried about. The SFA have confirmed that he was cleared to play domestically before the UEFA signing deadline. The reason he couldn't play on Sunday was because he was waiting to get his visa from the US embassy in Paris The delay in getting the Visa has nothing to do with the SFA or UEFA. To play in Slovenia he did not need to have his Visa
Another **** story from the Scottish press, depressing as **** that people actually buy this ****e. Mutants
he has had a visa to play in europe for years. he just hadn't been issued with a UK visa to make him eligible to work in the UK. if the first game had been at ibrox then he couldn't have played because of UK work permit rules not UEFA rules.
'Football rules are separate from UK Border Agency rules,' said an SFA source. 'The anomaly in this instance is that if the first leg had been played in Scotland, Rangers would not have been allowed to include Bocanegra.' Maribor spokesman Zeljko Latin said: 'How can the player have the right to play in European competition on the Thursday night but not the clearance to play for Rangers in a domestic match in Scotland three days later? So basically the maribor spokesman doesn't know the rules!
Good point, I wonder if Celtic have a "special" relationship with Maribor, like they do with St.Pauli, Barcelona, Villareal, Sporting Lisbon, Man Utd, Derry City, Donegal Celtic....
The Daily Rhebel have laid their cards firmly on the table. please log in to view this image Ban these clowns Mr. Whyte.
Or maybe the certified loony / failed social carer / self proclaimed investigative journalist Phil MacGobblegiver reared his rancid heid again and contacted certain people with this ****e. Its got his name writted all over it - spectacularly inaccurate, desperate and pathetic. All symbols of the gobbler. If his daughter knew what he spent his time doing then she'd be in tears, genuine tears, not the fake ones when she supposedly found out what the famine song meant. Nothing to worry about here, that demented clown will knock himself out one of these days.
My God - so Maribor querying this is Phil's fault now too? You lot have a cheek to call anyone paranoid I wonder how you would react if Maribor tried to get a blatant red card in the last round for violent conduct overturned... I bet some timmy told them to do that Catch a grip
so basically, the only european joy celtic fans have to look forward to at the moment will need to come, not on the field but in UEFA offices, when they make an objection against sion playing their first team, and maribor make an objection against UK employment laws.
He was spunking about this on twitter long before it came out in the press. Someone was spotted on a sellic forum early yesterday boasting about how they contacted the Slovenian Embassy (no laughing at the back). We had a good laugh at the demented nature of this, and then this morning it comes out in the record If McGillivan put as much effort into his social care skills as he does into hating Rangers then an OAP would be sitting in his favourite seat enjoying Bargain Hunt right now.
Phil's now tweeting about Bocanegra not having had a medical, so illegible to play. These rhats are going through every rule to see if they can get us pumped out. How sad must it be to hate another team, more than you support your own. They are a laughing stock.
Mcobblegiver. He was a social worker with Glasgow Catholic Council. He was meant to be looking after an old man in Rutherglen, his timesheet showed the check in times, his expense sheet claimed for the home visits, yet the police had to break into the flat due to the stench. The old fella had lay dead for two weeks yet Phil was still claiming he checked on him several times a day. Before the investigation he fled to County Donegal (Bandit country) and now claims to be a journalist. Like all other rhats, he seems a tad obsessed. He also tried to justify his support for the PIRA the other night, he hasn't yet replied.
It's ok rangers, play whomever you wish, Phils a bawbag so case closed......oh wait this isn't the SFA
