Robbo was great. Hope he can keep that level up. It’s relatively easy to defend as a full back, tuck into your CB so the ball cant be played between you in behind. Force them to go wide then get close, don’t dive in and just stand your man. Occasionally you’ll get done with skill but on the whole you can get w block in. He does that well and also has the pace to get up and support and keeps it simple on the ball. Really wasnt sure woth Ox. Lot of money for someone that really hasn’t delivered consistently but last few games he’s shown what he can do and I think change of scenery has given him that little boost. Certainly offers something diff in that CM being able to drive forward with the ball. But he also did a lot of Work pressing and getting back helping defensively.
I was going to say that. On the (one) replay I saw I don't think he even fouled him. There was a lot more contact between Firmino and Stones - I was expecting that one to be called, because basically you can't touch anyone these days. On another note - the MotD pundits obviously hate City more than they do us.

Right - time to be a negative Nellie!! Last nights game suited our midfield perfectly - we have a trio of workhorses. They haven’t got the quality to be on the ball and pass progressively. City had most of the ball which meant our workhorses could do what they do best which is harass and put them under pressure. If you look at pretty much all of our goals, we created pressed and forced errors in dangerous areas. We didn’t create chances through intricate passing. Now we’ll be up against Swansea where we are likely to have the majority of the ball. This is where we will struggle because our midfield can’t create. I really hope we bring in a quality mid this January because I do feel we can get second.
Coutinho started didn’t he? He is the one who drops deeper to create from midfield. It is a concern - im praying that we sign a classy mid in jan.
We scored 4 against the runaway leaders, who'd only conceded 13 in their previous 22 games. If we can do that with work-horses, we might be dangerous with a creative midfielder.
